Instead of everyone giving thier own drab opinions on how everyone in our side is s**te. What is it that you'd change about either starting 11 or tactics or sticking faith in what Pearson has done and just it as a bad day at the office due to nerves etc. For me keep giving Gulasci time I think it was just down to nerves last night, lad clearly has talent. Back 4 keep the same, keep the faith, will become solid as soon as they gell. Midfield swap McKenna for Evans we need the pace. Cairney gets far too much stick people love to hate him- this is wrong he is a hull city player and I believe he will shine this season. And up top Simpson has to start for me, he was our most dangerous attacker despite that final shot, pair him with matty and pray that he finds some form and some pace! One last word I think the tactics were abit out, for me retaining possession is the key to a game. We always have our face in one direction trying to force it forwards, it's so much easier to play pass backwards to a holding player like McKenna or Chester for them to switch it to the other side creating acres of space. Although this may sound down beat I am not feeling so negative as other posters seem to be, for me it's just a matter of time til the team gells, finds form and starts asserting their authority in this league. UTT!
Gulasci Rosenior Chester Ayala Dudgeon Koren Evans Cairney Brady Fryatt Simpson That would do for a start. But in truth we need more quality in the squad in midfield and up front.
Not so much the starting 11 but the substitutions. Why the Hell did NP bring on Barmby instead if Simpson? What hope does that give to Simpson for future games? Even with Mclean out injured NP still looks to a 36 year old instead of him. Will Simpson even make the bench when Mclean is back, probably not, but he should be starting. Then with 8 minutes to go he fianlly brings on Simpson and takes off Mckenna (I think), this should have happened 25 minutes ago! I trust Nigel and I faith he will sort it out, sooner rather than later hopefully.
dont like to knee jerk after 1 game, but not impressed with mckenna last night, gave the ball away a lot, and was late for a lot of tackles..id put evans in for him..
