I have just read this in the Sentinel, Denise Coates has said "The annual accounts make clear that both the Britannia Stadium and the Clayton Wood training ground is ultimately owned by the bet635 Group Limited and not by Stoke City, she also says that the stadium is now worth £34 million and the training facilities at over £10 million.

My question is this, if they did leave then would our new owners have to buy the stadium and training facilities off the Coates family?, if this is true then it would make it harder for us to find a new owner if the worst case happened and they left.

    Leave...not in your nelly.

World wide advertising for Bet365 @ £3 million a year (last years loss)...peanuts.

His daughter has massive shares & control over Bet 365, so she is no one's fool.
It really is a family affair.
Don't panick Mr Mannering, we are in safe hands.

That's one quote taken from a passenger on the Tictanic! <yikes>

Yes and the Captain was a Stokie !!!

Bet365 are bookmakers...the hardest nised most pragmatic business folk on the planet.

Stoke City are an asset to the business, if and when it ceases to be so...then cheerio.

No sentiment involved, that way well be so with Peter, but there it stops

Denise isnt half as enthusiastic about Stoke as Peter Coates is imo, they wont leave but when Peter Coates does finally end his reign as chairman I think that Denise will make it a much more restrict regime, and less likely to make funds available.

First and foremost Ricc she is a businesswoman and a super-successful one at that.

Where else could her company get world wide publicity in a world class hugh profile product (PL) 365 days per year ... For £3 million ?

The more successful the product, the more exposure = more profit.

    Win - Win situation

You could safely bet your bottom dollar that there are some very handy tax advantages as well.

    Just my opinion of course.

    Quite right Nick
On the grapevine I hear that Bet365 are taking over the site of the Sentinel offices in Etruria <whistle> Which tells me.

They ain't going anywhere for some time to come. <ok>
