From what I've seen this kind of threat will mean nothing to the Russian fans they are there to fight and the football is just the excuse to be there.
FIFA seriously need to look at both Russia and Qatar and whether they are fit to host the next two World Cup tournaments. We all know they were only awarded the tournaments because they bribed Blatter and his cronies. But suitability of both countries to safely host the World Cup is seriously called into question. FIFA have got a mandate for radical change, they should be decisive and remove both Russia and Qatar from hosting the tournaments.
More importantly, if they are banned from Euro 2016, how can they then be considered fit hosts for WC 2018, only 2 yrs later?...
Quite right, as we have been discussing above. They probably can't be arsed to return all the bribes to the right people - a lot of admin.
Trying to rein in Russia in anything is a waste of time . Russian politicians back , somewhat , Russian thugs at Euro because they need them in their plans to spread their borders . As the world spirals into chaos with terrorists ,even if some of the activity is toward them , all Russia sees is the starters pistol of expansion turning into real guns to push neighbours back . No sports events should be held in Russia , only athletes should be allowed into a country holding sporting events . Massive NATO presence should be transfered to any bordering country that wants it . Massive sanctions , monetary and exports should be slapped on Putin and his cowardly clan of inbreeds .
