I put letting a lead slip again as I have gone into depressed mode. I'm working and will be driving home as game finishes...if I don't get result on the radio I will probably be too scared to turn on tv. Still you can always hope.
I'm with you on this one, Fran. Luckily in France anti-depressants are available without prescription!
Well spotted, Lamballana. My doctor has recommended a decent red for use with the game this afternoon. Back to watching at SMS next week, alcohol free, which is worrying. Watching Saints when sober is not to be recommended.
Agreed! I'm expecting to have a hangover after watching MOTD tonight. Either through celebrating or drowning sorrows!
well.....which one will it be? I'm in Beaune Monday to Thursday next week and dinner and wine tasting chez Louis Jadot wine cellar..... oh I can't wait!
If you should consider such a task beyond the sensitivity of your taste buds I am more than willing to offer my delicate nose and sensitive palate in your place. I can even bring my own silver wine tasting dish. I love Beaune and it is not too difficult a drive. On the other hand having teased us all should you not at least bring us each a bottle back? That would be the act of a true Saint. We could all meet up before the Liverpool game and you could give out your generous gifts then. You would make some happy Saints' fans even happier.
Unfortunately Godders I am flying this trip. I am however 4 weeks into my new job where my "local" office is Beaune. Next time I will drive and by all means let me know what you like and I can select something for you in exchange for some paper with the Queen's head on. If you know Louis Jadot then one of my team has a girlfriend who works in their sales office and gets staff prices. If you don't know Louis Jadot, look their wines up. I have known people at this new job for a few years and worked with then before as their supplier. I have always said to my wife that it would be good to work for them simply because of Beaune. When they approached me last year about working for them, the negotiations didn't take too long!
Letting a lead slip is winning the poll at the moment. Let's all hope not. I have a feeling in a week of controversial refereeing decisions we may be hit today. I see us dominating possession again and being hit by bad luck
Voted for this because I could see us letting in a goal, but couldn't see us not scoring in the first place. I was wrong on both counts. I was right that I couldn't listen to the radio and I only dared turn the TV on at 5...saved myself some anguish there!! Strange that we kept a clean sheet and Yoshida did two massive saves and Boruc saved a penalty when recently we've mainly been concerned about defence. Although we moan about not scoring...we usually do (just not enough). I reckon Yoshida will get a goal soon (and not an own goal).
