At present after 11 games, we have 13 points in the bag. Or to put it another way 9 wins or 27 points from the magic 40 points barrier. Given we are away to Newcastle next then play host to Liverpool and West Brom, what do we expect will be a fare return against these ?
West Brom home though, so expect something from that even if they are flying. Why is that game on a Wednesday night anyway?
i expect 6 pts. not sure who against though. all games are tough but our home games must be our bread and butter no matter who we are playing.
We will do well to get anything up at Newcastle. I expect is to beat Liverpool and WBA at home with WBA being the more difficult of the two home games.
Toon aren't great at the moment and I think a draw is possible. We should edge both home games to give us seven points. Now for the "but". BUT we need to play to our potential and not as we did today. Any repeat of that sort of form will see us get jack s**t from any of the games.
Just like yesterday. I expected 3 point but we ended up with one. So for the rest of November I expect nine point but we'll probably end up with three.
Newcastle aren't scary - they had an above average season last year I feel. I think we can get a draw at least. To be honest if we play well I fancy three points from any game - consistency is an issue. If we performed against Southampton like we did in any of the previous 3 matches we would have won. I'd settle for 9 points from our next 3 games.... anything else and I won't be happy.
Well West Ham have beaten Newcastle up there so it's not a fortress or anything. If we are on our game I see no reason why we can't do the same. The Premier League is a very unforgiving division - if you're not completely on your game you drop points. Look at Chelsea - they've just taken 2 points from a possible 9.....
I think out of the three teams then the toon would be the ones to nick a point off. Liverpool are starting to gel together and were great against chelsea at their place and WBA to me are the form team in the premiership..If we can get 3 points then that would be a good return....
I think Chelsea will be disappointed not to have won that - they had the best chances to do so. I also think we were better against Chelsea than Liverpool were. I can't say I see signs that Liverpool are improving much - they raised their game against Chelsea but it wouldn't surpise me if they fail to beat Wigan next match.
Liverpool are much better away from home than at Anfield, played well against Chelsea away after the tactics/formation were fixed in the 2nd half and by full time deserved, and should of got, all 3 points. Newcastle will be desperate for 3 points now so I can't see much joy there for you, especiall with the players they've got, and West Brom are the most in-form team of the league and are absolutely flying playing some of the best footy in the league. Those of you expecting 9 pts as a right are going to be very disappointed. You should be hoping for at least 3 pts, happy with 4 and ecstatic with 6.
You must of been watching a different game. We battered them in the second half. They only had the better of the 1st half ecause Rodger's done a tactics failure with a new formation. As soon as we went back to normal at half time we controlled the game. We had two easy chances near the end of should of took both of them. In the end Chelsea were lucky to get a point. It was a very similar performance to Swansea v Chelsea they had the better for the first half and then Swansea came back into it as time went on.
Hello Toela, Talking about "expecting wins as a right", I haven't seen much of you on the Liverpool board since you wrote this;-
