What will society be like in 20-30 years...? Warning. OT and possibly offensive

Our elders have seen it all. They've witnessed huge changes in society during their life time. Back when they were younguns, it was okay to call Black people "******s", and a lot of people classed them more as Apes, than Human beings. Blacks and gays had little rights, women were classed below men, and people weren't exactly tolerant.

As society has grown, we've accepted people for their differences, and the world is more open minded. I mean, a lot of people still find things homosexuality a bit disgusting, but we've grown a lot in the last 70-80 years, so we just turn a blind eye to it, if we don't like it. At least, in most cases.

I personally am very open minded. If a group of men want to cover themselves in mayonnaise, and **** each others arseholes in the privacy of their own homes, then that's completely fine. It's not something I'd do myself, but as long as it's not done in front of me, and it's not infringing on my rights, then whatever.

However... I've just spent the last 20 minutes reading up on this -

Apparently the show "My Little Pony" is becoming extremely popular with men ages 20 and up, and there are blokes getting multicoloured hair, pony tatoos, collecting my little pony toys. Get this, they're not mainly homosexuals or greasy, perverted men either, they're just average blokes.

Again, I'm willing to be just like... "meh, w/e as long as they're not hurting anyone", but seriously... human beings tastes and interests are changing rapidly... what's it going to be like in 20-30 years?

Since we've become more tolerant, people are, quite rightly, allowed to express themselves and get into whatever **** they want, and even though I have nothing against a bunch of blokes watching a show meant for little girls about ponies, what is society going to be like in a few decades time?

Masculinity and Femininity, will there be such things anymore?

Thirty years is a long time - - we may all beunderwater by that time.

In the next 10 years I expect you will find more and more splinter, or very special interest groups, like this. Communication is such that its possible to find someone else who is interested in just about anything.

As for masculinity and femininity, that doesn't change much. 80 years ago, women geneerally liked men to be strong and rich, and didn't mind if they were older than them. Men generally liked women to be cheerful, buxom and pretty, but pretty much insisted that they not be older than them. 80 years later, tastes haven't changed, hence the classic combination of the pretty young blonde with the well off older man.

30 years, 300 years, 3000 years from now, pretty young women and rich powerful men will still be seeking each other out.

 

In 30 years time, I'll nearly be 60 .

I would expect something fairly apocalyptic to happen. The recent story of the American girl contracting the Black Death just serves to remind that we're never immune to nature. So maybe something viral, or bigger (tsunami/tectonic shifts). Or instead maybe something human-grown. Perhaps the divides in society widen, maybe there's to be at least one successful coup attempted in the Western World and possibly marshall law in place somewhere. Maybe China or Korea will take us to a Third World War, but actually win this time, so communism becomes a new world order.

In short, how the f&$% would anyone on a Toon Message Board know?! Go ask D:Ream.

In the coming decades, I reckon the biggest medical advancement for society (if I discount the serious medical journal in America I noticed, which claimed we could be immortals before the century is out) could be the invention of synthetic sperm. Then us men, superseded by silent and clinical spunk dispensers, will have to take James T. Kirk as role model and conquer us some intergalactic 3-toed, 28-fingered, 7-bottomed, 9-eyed freaky ass (or simply relocate our resources into Sunderland or Boro where such creatures apparently exist already)... To boldly hump what no man has humped before. That's why society has shifted so much to the point where some men do everything around the house AND have the only income (in my completely just invented position on the matter), to make sure the ladies keep us about the place... To the other type of men still living in ignorance (/the 1940s) BE WARNED. To the ladies, you are all delightful... And I have asthma, so please let me stay in this galaxy.

ON TOPIC
You can all bring this back to me in 30 years, if you can still type with your gnarled and aging digits (or if you possess the Steven Hawkings blink app for the IPAD 2,666,998,584,055.1), but I truly think a woman will play professional football with men in the near future. At physical peak, women can be stronger than most guys, faster than many, and very very fit. There's no reason, to me, that a woman who excels physically couldn't pick up the technical skills to play with men.

Oh and England will "win" the world cup every world cup year, until 30 years has passed and we've won feck all.
