Sorry for the pun, couldn't resist.

There is quite an interesting debate on the Obertan injured thread on who should replace him at the weekend.

So if Pardew is going to only replace Obertan for Everton and keep the rest of the team the same. Who do you think he will replace him with

    a) Marveaux
    b) Ben Arfa
    c) Guthrie (I know he started last game but I mean start Tiote and move him across)
    d) Santon
    e) Gosling
    f) Lovenkrands (you never know)
    g) Abeid

Straight swap, we can't start pissing about with the line up and where people are playing. Marveaux has a point to prove, massive chance for him now. Out of position maybe but we can't change things around.

Can't see it being anybody other than Marv, not worried at all about this choice.

I can see this happening as Pards will think it will effect squad morale if Guthrie is dropped despite playing very well v Stoke.

Because Obertan is the only naturally right sided winger we have anyone else put there is not going to be in their preferred position. Even when Barton played there it wasn't his favoured position

Where as on the left we have an abundance of talent what with Jonas, Marveaux and lets not forget Ferguson.

You high? Why would he play Santon as a winger?

Yeah, I don't like Guthrie there. Makes us look unbalanced, but as someone pointed out - Barton did well on the right even though he a centre mid so hope he will if he gets picked

Play Ben Arfa, he is a natural right winger.

Stanger things have happened. He is a very attacking full back. Bale started as a LB and now pretty much play on the left of a three pronged attack.

Wouldn't mind Santon there. Right footed and good at attacking

I'd love Marveaux, but I really can see Pardew moving Guthrie out wide, and being unable to see that he's ****e in that position. I just have this awful fear.

There's the outside possibility he could shift Raylor to RM, but I hope not. I think Guthrie will get the job, but I'd rather it was Marv.

Pardew for me so far this season has been quite shrewd in his formations and I can't see him making that mistake.
