Rangers 1-0 Morton Sat 10th Nov 1973 **** game. John Greig scored the winner halfway through the 2nd half.
1971/72 at Pittodrie. Haven't got a ****in clue who we were playing or what the score was. We are speaking 42 years ago though.
In ultimate taig style, my first game was Celtic vs Ireland for Bonner's testimonial. A 3-2 win for the hoops.
It would be Shamrock Rovers or Irish internationals. The first English team I saw was Bohemians v Newcastle Utd in the UEFA cup. My first English league match would be Arsenal v Everton in old Highbury.
First game I ever went to was Bolton Wanderers v Manchester United. In the Lever End at Burnden Park, Bolton won 3-0 with two goals from Alan Gowling and one from Frank Worthington. I was seven and cried but remained a resolute red. Remember it like it was yesterday, not 37 years ago.
