I think I was there for that, we drew 1-1 without having a shot on target!

Apart from Ashton Gate, which doesn't really count, White Hart Lane was mine..Chivers, Gilzean, Peters, Jennings...

Bristol Rovers at Eastville in February 1950 versus Crystal Palace.
It predates my first visit to Ashton Gate by two months but my Dad and I left at half time because it was pouring with rain, and we could not manage to stand still on the Muller Road mudbank, the days before you put concrete terracing there.

I still prefer red to blue and am deeply ashamed that my first professional match was at your old stamping ground. But I've learned to live with my problem!

Same season just a week before my first home game at Eastville 1-1 against Orient.

We both went down that season :(

Bristol Rovers at Eastville in 1957 (I think) versus P N E and saw Tom Finney, not that I can remember much about the game.
In those days Dad, a Rovers fan, took me 1 week to Rovers and next week to City.

I see times have not changed much in the last 32 years, you still get punched in the face when people first meet you <laugh>

Eastville in the 80''s can't remember the score, the year but it was a night game if that helps, then the next 10-20 was just a drunken mess where I travelled all over the country away games.

Chester in April 2005, when we drew 2-2 after being 2-0 up.

I'd already been there as a neutral however, so Northampton in November of that year will probably be mine. We lost 4-0 and it was a very bad day.
