Hi, Cardiff city supporter here. I'll admit to not being a lover of Man U but I have an honest question. I was watching the game yesterday in a pub on the shores of the Caspian Sea (Don't ask!) and late in the second half, after Rooney scored his hat trick there was a throw in to you and he hoofed it all the way back down the feild and out of play to give Arsenal a corner. Why did he do it? It was obviously something had happened that he felt was unfair and, at least from what I saw, was trying to redress the balance but I didn't see anything. does anyone know? The other thing I'd like to say is Deep Respect for SAF for his after-match comments about Arsene Wenger and the stae of the Arsenal team. He could have crowed but he didn't. He accepted the win and the goal difference but acknowledged the opositions porblems. Very Gentlemanly!!
Because Fergie is one of the few true Gents in football. He says how he sees it, if you are a ****, he tells you, if you have suffered he offer support. the media driven image of SAF is a man full of rage who is a bully and a control freak. They couldnt be further from the truth. A highly respected and respectable man who is wiser than anyone in the game. As for Rooney, hes also a much better person than what the media make out.
The quest, I knew that about Fergie, I know that our last manager used to phone him every week for advice and solace as do a lot of other managers, and he always answers the phone, always has time for them, when he doesn't need to. Indication of a man who loves his job and has empathy with others trying to be the best at it too. I still don't know why Rooney did that, but I'd like to. It will show him in a better light than most think I'm sure, but why did he do it?
The media try to make out that Fergie is an arrogant, bitter and ungracious man. He has always offered support to under fire managers and whenever a new manager come to a premiership club, the 1st letter on the desk is from fergie.
