I wrote in on a topic concerning the Luis Suarez debacle a few days ago & seeing the shameful scenes at Anfield yesterday i felt the need to do so again. Im not looking for sympathy im just venting my fury at my once great football club.

I was born in the 70´s am a black fan & have been passionate about my club since i was brought up on merseyside where my father still works to this day as a doctor. i have spent probably 10´s of thousands of pounds following the team around England and europe & never EVER thought there would come a day where i lose my passion for LFC but the past few months are starting to alter that.

When the initial Suarez incident borke my father a life long liverpool fan told me he had lost ALL respect for kenny dalglish with his stance on the whole thing, t-shirts etc. Personally although it left a very bad taste in my mouth i tried to carry on as normal giving the benifit of doubt that Kenny was naivly & loyally sticking up for one of his players without knowing all the facts of the case, since the facts became clear i was hoping the club would apologise not just to the player involved but for the way they have gone about it ...it never came and infact every statement has made things worse, i stated in my last mail any failure on the clubs part to apologise appropriotly and sufficiently would essentially condone this unacceptable behaviour, we´ve seen fans stick their heads in the ground, trivialising the matter even saying these raciallly abused players should "man up". Low and behold we have Suarez t-shirted "fans" racially abusing a young player & when the play stopped all you can hear is luis suarez chants ! Now it makes me sick to my stomach that a major institution in my life that i have followed passionatly would have this stance.

Looks like the pathetic attempt to deal with the original problem has created a rod for our own back where fans are now so staunch in their support of Suarez thanks to comments from club and manager that nothing else matters. Its a sad day when all you have belived in has let you down badly.

How can this even be resolved now ?, even if the club and kenny performed a masive U-turn & came out and castigated suarez for refering to a players colour as being unacceptable (something that if we did in the 1st place i dont belive we would have seen the scenes last night) it would seem ingenuine.

I was going to reply to another thread but low and behold its been closed, like im sure this will, what hurts the most is the reactions of my fellow LFC fans, deflecting attention not admitting the stance we have taken is the wrong one but infact the right one !

Our reputation is sullied globally but some of the fans on here have a "dont care, its Liverpool and only Liverpool im interested in" train of thought, were a global institution we have a responsibility and the way we have handled this is frightening.

This will probably be met with a F""" off & go and support city, but i as a contributing fan & a pretty insensitive person aswell thought id give my 2 cents as this IS having an impact on us.

All that typing was not worth ****. Unless that is you were there and know what as said. I'm closing the thread other than deleting so that you can read this.

Any other point in your post that may have been valid is worthless due to that opening statement. You are showing a biased opinion.

There are also other threads you could have posted on.
