Instead of the relentless "Warnock out" and "Warnock is tactically useless" posts, here's some credit to the guy:-

I thought he made a brave decision to leave Adel on at half time and swap Mackie for SWP. I was certain that it would be Adel sacrificed and we'd shut up shop (waiting for the odd corner or set play to nick something).

Instead, we went for it and looked deserving of at least a point from the second half with the front 3 looking dynamic and working hard (even AT who did track back and although not being a tackler, did block the path to goal).

People don't like it if we sit back waiting to be picked off and we didn't do that.

No mention of a certain first half incident.

I won't say I'm not worried about form and luck (one breeds the other usually) but I am proud of that second half display.

Agreed. I fully expected Adel to come off at the first opportunity - I remember thinking that his game was over as soon as Barton went off. But both he and SWP played really well together for the second half. The only change I would have made would be to bring Macheda on earlier, so we had some real pace up front to take to the Norwich back 4.

    Is Macheda quick then?
I agree that Warnock did well leaving Adel on after half time. I also thought he would be sacrificed for a more defensive player. The decision to take Adel off when we needed a goal though, was classic NW muddled thinking!!

NW has taken stacks of critism over this decision and i must admit that I initially thought it was a little strange but also thought maybe for the last 5 minutes NW thought DJ would offer something a little different. It was very noticeable that Adel was worn out and losing pace, after all he had run more in this game and given his all in defence and we were only 10 men I think he was knackered and NW saw this??

Couldn't agree more, why take him off near the end surely it would have made more sense to take off Derry. What's the difference in losing 2-1 or 3-1!
