Some of these points have been mentioned before, others are common knowledge, and some need to acknowledged.

    1. None of our defenders are can actually defend to a premier league standard. It is now no surprise why at 25 Nedum Onuoha has only played a handful of premier league games. Luke Young cannot keep up with play. Anton Ferdinand isn't a presence. And Taye Taiwo, is just Taye Taiwo.

    2. Jamie Mackie should not start. His energy levels are very good, but not at the start of the game when every premier league player is just as fit. He is completely ineffective.

    3. Djibril Cisse has been the saviour and destroyer of our season. Yes we all love him for the goals he has scored. But his lack of discipline has seriously cost us. It's unacceptable for a professional footballer, especially in the manner that he has done it.

    4. We have no chance when our most consistent player is Shaun Derry. We must give him credit, he has been superb recently, but honestly Shaun Derry should NOT be our best player.

    5. We need to decide which way we're going to play. Currently, we are playing a mixture of long ball and short passing. In doing this, it essentially is being our downfall as the majority of our players aren't quick enough getting the ball out of their feet. And for professional footballers again this is unacceptable.

In conclusion, I think we need to all be realistic now. I know we've all been waiting for "the changing point in our season". Yes the Liverpool win was fantastic and could have been one. But now, this defeat has certainly succumbed us to the relegation zone, and it will be more than a miracle if we are to finish outside of it.
Please can we stop being unrealistic now. Accept that we are a struggling team. Do not get on their backs when we put in a poor performance in the majority of the games, because that is all they can offer. The one thing that us fans have in our power is the ability to get behind the team, the ability to cheer the players names regardless if they make a mistake. Nobody can underestimate the power of faith, and how far encouragement can go. I certainly am very pessimistic of our chances of survival, but this won't stop me getting behind the team and supporting every player that puts on our famous Blue and White hoops.

Gorkks was sold to facilitate the new players coming in. This lot weren't just going to spend their own money.

Excellent post. We all know how bad it looks and i know some people use this forum to get anger, disappointment and frustration out of their system. I can understand that. But our season is not over yet. As said above, our squad is full of average players, deep down most of us knew that. But they are still our players, lets stay behind them until the end.
