I'm tired angry and pissed off, but am beginning to think the only way forward is to get behind Bernie. We are dealing with a facist, racist meglomaniac who has no time for democracy. All the fans getting pissed off, writing abusive statements, organizing petitions, not buying season tickets, not turning up for games or protesting in whatever form will only at best slightly amuse him. He won't give a **** either way. He will not be pushed around, not by the Mittals and certainly not by the fans, he will do what Bernie has always done - exactly what his ego tells him to do.. Why should he now sell his shares to the Mittals for a penny less than what HE thinks they're worth, we're involved in a billionaires pissing contest, one that Bernie will play all day long and enjoy it, and he will not lose. He does not care about the clubs long term future or the fans feelings, if he cares about anything it would be his small investment and this is protected either way, his orignal loan is secured against the ground, and the TV money for this season and next will offer a good return on his investment to date. I would assume he will always be prepared to sell at the price he considers right, and the more we protest now the less money will be spent on the team and the less he will care, he will no longer attend the ground, Warnock will go, our best players will go, and if he can't sell us this season he will cash out next season or the season after, leaving the club financially pretty much as he found it. As frustrating as it is, and you don't get much more frustrating than coming as close as we did to being owned by the 5th richest man in the world we have to let it go. Regards ticket prices, its time to bend over and brace yourselves. Regards ownership nothing good will come from the fans going to war with an owner like Bernie, no one will win, certainly not the club. Best case senario is now, we take it up the arse whilst smiling, hope Bernie kicks in 10-15mil of investment, and hope thats enough to keep Neil in place, and hope thats enough to survive our first year in the prem, stability is what we need and the more we protest now the more likley Bernie is to let Flav get on with it and then we are really ****ed. I know this is not going to get much agreement but i don't think Bernie is a man who can be pushed around, its his way or no way. Do we really think Bernie will say, oh dear the fans are really annoyed, i must sell my shares to the Mittals for less than i think there worth... Maybe if no one turns up for the first game, he might consider his position but this is simply not going to happen, and is 3 months away. You all know that the stadium will be full for the first game irrelevant of what everyone says now. I live in hope that the Mittals come back to the table with an improved offer that is acceptable to Bernie, but i would say this is massively unlikley now, if we get relegated then maybe this can happen next season, I just hope we can keep Neil - losing him will be too much to deal with for all of us.
