Hope it's true I'm pretty sure Routledge said he didn't want to go to QPR. As for Mills, we may very well have offered the highest wages and biggest bid but if Wolves or Stoke equal or better it it means nothing. Mills may well hold out for them to do just that.
The whole 30k p/w thing is probably a trail left by Mills' agent to bump up the Premier League club's offers. BUT I HOPE NOT!!!
Well according to Rob Tanner, the Routledge deal is a non-starter. Probably off to QPR after all. I'm still not sure Mills will sign for us, I can't see him picking us over guaranteed PL football at Wolves or European football at Stoke. If we were up against Bolton or Fulham, where he wouldn't have guaranteed football, I'd be more optimistic. I just think we're all being led along by this tbh.
Thats more i like it, CMS is not a huge loss. We will hopefully buy that star striker considering we were keen on 30-40,000 a week.
Dont believe in papertalk, wait till something happerns! Sven only wants players that want to come here. cms must have been given a great deal to go to Brighton we are 6/1 brighton are 20/1 wonder if he knows something the bookies dont! or is just a greedy unabitious tosser
Agreed. If we don't we're probably left with second rate averageness. That's more risky than spending the money surely?
I reckon Wayne Routledge could do a decent job for you actually, he's proven to be a capable player for the Championship (and he's been promoted with the last two sides to win it...so could be a lucky charm) I hope it comes off, would be nice to see him go from my favourite club to my second favourite
I would have Routledge any day of the week but apparently we have had the chance already to sign him and we passed up on the opportunity so who knows
This is a tweet from Rob Tanner He is talking about Wayne Routledge i don't think he is a City target. They had an opportunity but didn't take it. Off to QPR. If Mills comes could be by end of week.
Bad decision if you ask me. What quick wingers does he have in mind? Surely not Vassell?! The Geordie dude makes a good point, he's been promoted in the last 2 seasons at this level. Champions in fact. It's not pure coincidence he's been in the best team of the last 2 years. I thought he didn't want to go to QPR.
Because he aint good enough for the prem but so what. He is great at this level. Sign him get promoted give him a chance and if he isnt good enough sell him on
Sold from QPR to Newcastle in January 2010. Helped Newcaslte get promoted. Loaned, not sold, back to QPR for second half of last season, helped them get promoted, and they want to keep him, and will probably get him. He's never really cut it at Premiership level but he has at our level. When our wingers consist of Lloyd Dyer and Dany N'Guessan I'm very surprised we're not interested. We need a bit of pace with a final ball, we haven't really got anyone in our squad with that.
