11:11. People were counting down in geography lecture today, just after 11. We counted down- and then 11:11 came, and went, and nothing happened! Who would have guesses?
If that was a reference to Saints' loss today, I think our stripey friends were quite unlucky today. Unlike some other games when they've won but underperformed, they played well today, but still ended up the losing side. I think it's all down to Steven Fletcher. When it comes to the end of the season, he'll be the one to keep Sunderland up. Whoever signs Darren Bent from Villa, in January, will also stay up. When it comes to teams like QPR, Reading, Wigan, and perhaps even Southampton- it's hard to see where the goals will come. There is no 15/20 goals plus player in any of those sides. (perhaps even just the 10 goal player!). Did you know, Steven Fletcher has scored with 53% of his shots this season! It's that clinical finish he has that will keep his team in the Prem. Him and Michu were the best buys of the summer- however I think Michu just wins it, as he cost a lot less. Good luck to all the Prem teams in the relegation dogfight!
