I'm in Sussex so I got home from last night's game at about 8:30pm.

What time did the people living in Hull get back? Big round of applause to everyone who made the very long trek from Hull to the south coast.

drove straight back. Sat in my living room at 1 45 am. Stop at Crawley for a Toby after a ridiculous train trek to lewes and pointlessly paying £1 50 for an advanced ticket plus another £1 50 for parking in lewes! A sign of the future in Melton perhaps!

Just now, which isn't bad considering I didn't leave Brighton until nearly 4.00pm.

I know it's early days etc etc, but just dreaming.

Seeing that City and....ah...leeds are doing ok at the moment (that was a difficult sentence to type). Do we consider it would be a great day to go down to Wembley and beat them in a the play-off final OR hope they don't get in the play-offs.:emoticon-0116-evilg

What would you dare to dream?:emoticon-0100-smile

interesting incidents in the The Barn (Toby at Crawley) by the way when we stopped for the said 'beggers banquet'.

the barmaid at The Barn was convinced we were on our way back to Shrewsbury even though my son and both his mates were stood in front of her with a Hull City shirt and the name Hull City emblazoned all over themselves in various forms. No matter how many times I pointed out where we had been and where we were going, she was also convinced we had been to see: "...the Creepies.....". Yes beleive it or not: "The Creepy Crawleys". She actually said that!!

also amused by the boisterous banter (let's call it) with some locals in the pub. One Liverpool fan; a Chelsea fan; and (get this) a Leeds United fan who didnt even know that we played them a few weeks back. He even asked me the score. I suppose we could have told him anything but hey ho oh how we laughed anyway.

was back in the hull area by 2am sunday morning and after dropping off my passengers and getting some fast food i was back home by 2.47am and ready to watch MotD. alas after eating my food i then fell asleep and missed the end. so left MotD for later on sunday.

it was nice to drive on the M25 for a change. it actually resembled a motorway for a change and was able to stay in fifth gear. really good journey home. all in all a smashing day out and well worth the time and trouble. :emoticon-0113-sleep
