What is it with this manager common Woolford above Adomah-Bolasie your having a Laff DM I despair sometimes where has that come from.
As much as I don't like Woolford he does, defend slightly better than the others on the left side. I think Bolasie is a bit hot headed and could be a bit of a hindrance in this sort of game. Adomah is not naturally left sided so we would have to adjust the midfield to accommodate him into the team. As I said I'm not a Woolford fan but we need two wingers who can help defensively. Hope I ain't cursed him now! We just have to believe
Fingers crossed I have not seen him play one good game as yet, beat a player he does not seem to know how to do it. Strange selection.
You could say that the second goal arose from the fact that Albert stayed on the halfway line instead of working back so the cross may never have been delivered...
Albert did more in the time he was on the pitch, woolford is a safe player, but not a dangerous player. Never went past a player all the time he was on the pitch.
He protected McAlister against McNaughton who is very attack minded! I only watched it on TV and didn't see a lot of Albert so can't comment on him but he normally charges forward then slow walk back, great player just not defensive mode, would still like to see him central running down the throat of the opposition
Some of Woolfords 'through' balls were shocking, but we certainly looked better defensively compared to when Albert came on - he seemed to run up his own arse a couple of times and had one piss poor shot. I can't blame DM for his selection or formation - we were the better team IMO for most of the match. We lost our shape a little when Albert and Bolaise came on, but the goals we conceded were unlucky and if we weren't near the bottom then luck may have been on our side more and these types of goals may not have gone in
