Is there any way that we can shave a few millimetres off the crossbars and posts, that way we may be able to squeeze in a few more goals. Yet again the opposing team have been royally saved by the bloody woodwork. Does anyone think that it is good that the Jan window is close, I actually believed that we had enough quality in the squad but maybe they just need a couple of extra faces to bolster them a bit. What do you think? Discuss.........
We could say the same about us! Obviously not to day..but Cardiff have hit the woodwork more then anyone this season!! First half you should of scored a couple but second half it seemed you ran out of ideas only the one great chance from Nugent was cleared off the line though and it sounded like one of your players made a superb last ditch tackle on Gunnarson in the last 10mins.. Great result for us hope for the same Result on 26th Jan on my birthday
I am beginning to think it's coming a bit too late! Lose to Hull and automatic promotion will be looking a big ask...
Nah, we just need another run tbh. We've slipped back into inconsistent results, but the performance levels have been consistently good.
Performances aren't the problem, it's scoring goals. I knew we'd lose after going down 1-0 to Millwall and Cardiff. We only just managed to scramble a draw against Barnsley. I know this is a tight league, but lose to Hull and we'll be 10 points behind them, possibly 13 points behind Cardiff. The Hull game is huge now. We simply have to win it.
Don't be ridiculous, lose to us and you're still in with a great chance if autos. It'll depend heavily on January which direction teams take. It's obviously unlikely anyone will do a Reading and storm it from the bottom half, but this league delivers crazy results. Look at Peterborough, they've won 3 away games all season and 2 of them were against us and Cardiff (the current top 2). Nobody looks like pulling away this time, so the teams in the top half will all have a shout until february time when certain ones will start to accept they're chasing playoffs at best. You guys have the advantage of having money to spend unlike most teams in the top 8 or 9, your only real disadvantage is you have a manager that is usually unwilling to alter his tactics if things don't go right and tends to make like for like substitutions hoping that new personnel will make a difference instead of a new approach (something I noticed a lot here until he finally started playing Koren in his best role). His main plus point is his disciplined defences mean you don't concede much, so even a flukey goal can win you matches if luck shines on you.
Cardiff City fan here. I was at the game on Saturday with my son and I have to say firstly what an excellent team you have - really anyone could have won it, it's just that on the day a heck of a lot of luck went our way. That's football for you though. The other thing was that the 12th man - the crowd were very quiet. If you want your team to do well then you have to do your bit and get behind the lads! Anyone who was at the game will tell you that all the noise came from us - the Cardiff City fans, and our team knew it...and so did yours. Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season, once again that's a great side you have - you just need to get behind them a bit more.
Not trying to be a knob. But I really wasn't impressed with your fans! 2500 and, don't get me wrong when you were loud you really were, but you didn't sing that much. Only for about 10 minutes after your goal and the last 10 minutes of the game. You were loud when you were singing, but you were very quiet, especially second half.
From what? Honestly, barely heard you all game apart from what i've mentioned. Cardiff fans keep saying they thought they were good but every Leicester fan i've spoken to have said you were very average for the amount of people you brought. Palace brought probably a few less but were much much better. Their fans were class.
Despite that we were still louder than the rest of the stadium. What does that say about your support?
I didn't say we were good and every away support should really outsing the rest of the stadium, as we will when we travel to your place. We were ****e on saturday, but at least we kept singing all game up in L1. Like I said, when you actually sang, you were loud, but you didn't sing anything like an impressive amount.
Put the ball in the back of the net during match play, without encountering any infringements of the law (such as an offside). And to think some people doubted the IQ of our board...
I sat in the family end for this game which is right next to the away fans. I didnt think the away support was anything special
