Been trying to find out what the pic was all about but hit a brick wall, I don't think he gives a flying one about how it'll go down because he obviously knew the consequences before posing for the pic, anyway although a good defender for us back in the day he's always distanced himself from the club since he retired, unless he was getting wages for discussing LFC of course.

He'd do better to apologise for doing something insensitive to the club and it's fans as one of its high profile ex-players ... wouldn't lose any face, in fact he might actually start to claw back some respect from the fans most of whom expect this sort of dumbfuckery from the clueless twat

Not at all, it's something that wont be and should not be forgotten. You can't lie to that degree or in that manner and expect people to forgive at all, ever. If you're a representitive of this club and wish to remain a part of it (which he does, as he gets paid for public speaking) then you don't endorse that paper.
I assume you know the reason why we boycott the s*n Trebs? Then you'll know that nobody associated with the club gives them the time of day(it goes with the territory), its understandable because the lying slur in the rag had no bearing or effect on your club that you can brush the pic to one side as a mountain out of a molehill but those of us affected by the consequences the false headline in the aftermath brought upon the families, the club, supporters and the city we expect LFC employees past and present to show solidarity when it comes to the s*n. It's not much to ask in memory of 96 of our fellow reds.
The fact that he's done stuff with that paper before and apologised for it would make you think he should know better
