For me it's Acceptance, although the anger does briefly return every now and then.

Not going to give some soppy spold story but I feel totally disconnected from the club. Football is more than just winning to me. If given the choice of 5th + major changes at board level & 4th place but a continuation of this ****e I'd take 5th anyday.

Sadly, don't think I'll ever feel the same way about the club or football in general again.

<laugh> Don't worry, DL. It'll pass once you've moved on Rafa and your older players aren't quite so influential in the dressing room.

I'll still follow the team through thick and thin but this is an annoying stage even though it's not exactly a crisis! We are 4th in England! But the board needs a shake up and the scouse contingent all have to go. It's tough but all I want to see is a bit of passion... A bit of fight and determination. It can't be too hard to ask for surely?

Meanwhile I'm going to Middlesbrough tomorrow for the cup game... Come on Chels!!!

See my post is gone. Truth hurts doesn't it.

Notice how the other replies say the same thing basically.

    You are an embarrassment.

I deleted it, it was only going to cause arguments. I was actually in the middle of explaining why in a PM.

Fair enough drogs though he would of done anyway.

Personally I suspect most would of agreed with my assessment and the few replies sort of show that but they were a little more polite than I.

Some of the ****e he comes out with though, like a spoilt kid when crashes the family Bugatti and kicks off over the hire car only being a Lexus

I'm feeling like DL, worn out from months of anger, anguish, disbelief and am now flat as a tack.
I no longer expect us to win any games, am not particularly excited when we do, and am not even overly dissapointed when we don't. I really think this is exactly how the players are feeling as well. Almost reached a "don't care anymore' attitude.
Never thought I could get to this position, hope the good feelings come back when and if we ever get rid of this festering pustule Benitez.
Roman, you have done some incredibly stupid things in your time at Chelsea, but Benitez is the absolute worst thing you have ever done.

Its putting me off football to be honest. can't wait til this season is over. The only thing keeping me going is our youth. So full of prospect, with the likes of Piazon, McEachran, Feruz, Ake, Chalobah etc etc all eager and hungry. Not to mention Lukaku, Courtois, and DeBruyne And perhaps one or two from Swift, Kiwomya, Baker, Nditi, Davey, Blackman, Kane etc

And in the slightly longer run, J Boga will be the best of the lot.

I want a major overhaul with a strategic shift this summer that focuses on a 5 year plan that will see all these players fill our ranks with Oscar, Mata, Hazard and Azpi providing the experience. I'm sick of the volatility. If certain long in the tooth crowd favourites have to be disposed of so we can make a fresher start from the drawing board, then so be it.

All sounds good to me. However, which new manager in their right mind would take the risk of playing these more than promising potential stars of the future when they are worried about their job every second of every day. We do need a massive overhaul and for Roman to put some trust in someone for the long-term. Someone who is willing to take a few risks for the long-term of the club, not just try to buy the best that everyone else has to offer.

We have done that (and needed to to get us to where we are) but now is the time to develop our squad and all that is bubbling below.

Like many of the others on here, my anger at the current state of play has almost turned to apathy....which is even worse. I'm passionate about our club and just don't want it ripped apart. For me, we absolutely have to get rid of Rafa now. Forget what he is/can/might do, he is not right for us and while he remains in place, whatever is said & done, the fans will not unite behind him. For me, bring in something like Drummy & Vivish(?) to caretake the club until the end of the season, while we find a propoer long-term solution to the position of manager. Regardless of how they do, the fans would get behind them because they are Chelsea, they know the club and they are currently working with some of of future talent.....not only that....it's not Rafa.

I think it would make a massive difference for the players, just to have all of us visibly & vocally behind everything. Even if the results were similar, if would "feel" more like our club again.

On the next manager unfortunately, and I may prove very unpopular here, I do NOT think that Jose is the answer. Whilst it would appease many people and undoubtedly he would get us back to winning/not losing ways, I don't see him being around for more than 2-3 years. I would love to see someone here that is working with the grass roots of the club, all the way through to the senior team. You only achieve that with someone given that long-term plan/chance. I think that the only person left that Roman trusts to do that would be Hiddink. Maybe, just maybe, he would be given the time required to make us more than sum of our parts. Right now, I find myself wishing that it was Football Manager or the games were played "on paper" - it's the only way I feel confident of a win.

So, Rafa out now, Reserves/Academy coaches in until the end of the Season. Long-term (and really long-term) management in.

Can I just say as an NLP trained Polar Bear I never ever expected to see a reference to Kubler-Ross on a football forum, especially a Chelsea one. I seriously have to consider if I want to continue using it, given that you humans seem to be catching up with us bears.

I guess the problem is, is that we all accuse the board of short termism but then want Rafa sacked after a few months in charge. I can't see the board embarrassing the club or themselves further by having their 3rd manager in a season whilst we are still in an ok position for top 4 and in 2 cup comps - the leagues gone so a new manager wont change that.

The problem with a caretaker coach is it is often difficult to get the best out of players who know you're not going to be there for long. I think it only worked with RDM cos he was a club legend. Who realistically could we get that would take the job for 2 1/2 months and get the respect of the players and unite the club!?! Maybe JT but then he has no experience and the club wont do it.

Sadly I think it's a case of riding out the next few months and then going for someone new come June.

Surely the players want to play in CL next season whoever the manager is?

    Benitez: Twat, get rid

RDM: Wouldn't have done as bad as Benitez so why sack him.

The club (translated as The Board/ Romans nobbys): Lost a bit of heart around the time they sacked Ancellotti, not been impressed with their handling of various issues that have arisen and my enthusiasm has continually been in decline ever since, with spikes of absolute joy on three or four occasions.

Agreed but a good man manager or someone the players will fight for at least, will get an extra 10% out of his players. I'm sure they all want C.L footie next year but team/club morale plays a massive part in performances on the pitch and ours has to be one of the lowest in the league - despite being as 'high' as 4th!!
