Entire stadium singing "hodgey for England" for the first 5 minutes...confuse the sh*t out of everyone!

Same reception as any other manager. That period has been and gone, no need to remind any of us (including him) of how painful it was.

Little bit harsh? No manager, even Kenny or Mourinho or Fergie would of done better as when the players decide they dont care as your players did ( disgraceful attitude btw ) then no manager has a chance.

Look at Chelsea for a prime example.

ZE has it spot on, move on.

H&G were the issue then, not Roy.

I hope he gets a warm reception. Nothing gained nothing lost while he was in charge. he tried his best, unfortunately it wasn't good enough

Woy never meant us any harm- he just wasn't right for our club. I think he's at the right level for him now so good luck to him.

Agree with these comments. He came in during a difficult time for our club and it just didn't work out.

I wish him well but not for tommorow!

Roy's still a little bitter it seems.

“There is no reason to give me a good reception,” says Hodgson. “They didn’t like me when I was there, (so) I can’t see they are going to like me now.”

But he'll get a round of applause,a handshake and a cup of tea,i hope he doesn't also get handed the points.

    Wrong!

Irrespective of H&G, Voy proved that he could not cope.

BTW, why comment upon a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with you as a United supporter?

I actually thought Roy Hodgson would have done well taking over a happy, stable Liverpool. But not the situation he did take over.

I think we should not boo or clap.

I don't hate him but its a period I do not wish to think about too often!

Roy should get a good reception being a former manager then the team should go out and show him how good lfc can be and kick his teams arse!

Exactly this. We all know things were grim but he's still a former manager of LFC so what he'll get from me is a polite round of applause....what I want in return is 3 points thanks Woy <ok> Those who blame Woy for all our ills are way off the mark.

It would be brilliant if WBA finish above them.
