Ok so we have 11 games left and look nailed on to finish 8th o 9th. What should MP do between now and the end of the season? 1) Experiment and give players like Reed Isgrove etc the opportunity to show whether they have what it takes to play in the PL Or 2) Play a full strength side in every fixture and try to finish in the top six or seven. Have to say I'm in two minds. What do you all think?
Ninth with a full strength side is still asking a lot so keep the best side possible and give the youngsters a chance in the last 20 minutes.
I bet we play our strongest side at least for the next few games....MP will want to win some games as soon as possible.
I agree . The way the Hammers are going , they could overtake us , and I REALLY REALLY don't want that to happen !!!
Why don't we keep doing what we have been doing most of the season when possible; playing attacking, pressing football with a good mix of experienced and younger players. We will still win some and probably lose some too... We have managed to bring through a few youngsters this season and will continue to do so. No change for me apart from the last two results
This has been a strange year in the PL...ManU struggling, Arsenal being consistent, and half the teams trying to be relegated. We had a strong start...thanks in part to avoiding most of the big guns at the beginning of the season. This kept us hovering in the top 10 all season as those behind us self destructed, despite hitting a tough spell ourselves. Now all we have to do to stay top 10 is get a reasonable amount of points. We have been consistent with regard to quality of our play...just not scoring enough. Next season will be the test.
I have seen him a lot, all he has is a bit of speed that is it. We have far better and younger players at the club.
Doesn't matter Lamb, if he is to prove me wrong, he has to improve a hell of a lot. I can't really see it tbh and can see him moving on.
We give youngsters chances, but they must all be aware that the production line carries on moving behind them. Sometimes a player is given another year if injury has reduced his chances, but Isgrove has to make it this year realistically.
