I wonder if any league teams will go in for the Conference's top scorer in the transfer window? Barnet won't want to lose him, but it will help us if he goes...

He'll get a move to a league club, do sod all and then find himself back in the Conference. It would be good if someone comes in for him though - Much of Barnet's goal threat comes via him.

There may be a few football league clubs showing an interest in Mad Dog.

The only way any other team will catch Barnet is if Akinde or Martin Allan leave.

We're getting closer, and there's a lot of football to come. Dover will have a real go at Barnet and I'm sure we'll gain more ground over the next few weeks.

I think it's a big ask to catch up 9 points - since you beat them they have won 4 straight league games - you just have to keep plugging away

The pressure's all on them. If Barnet get less than us in three or four of our winning games we'll cruise past them. They rely heavily on Akinde for their goals and their record over the past ten games isn't as good as ours. Bring it on...UTG!!

18 games to go. 8 points behind.

    Over the last 18 games.....
    Barnet have won 37 points.
    Rovers have won 35 points.
Doesnt look like we will catch them if you look at the form over the last 18 games.

But over the last 6 games....
    Barnet have won 13 points.
    Rovers have won 14 points.
Looks better but if this stays the same over the next 3 lots of 6 games (18 games) then we will only catch Barnet by 3 points which is not enough.

Aldershot, who are improving, rivals Grimsby, Halifax, the rapidly improving Eastleigh and maybe Gateshead... to name a few...

We also have to play away to most of the top 10 teams, the transfer window could well throw a few spanners into the works !!!
But all in all we should be OK for at least a play-off place...... then who knows !!!!

Happy New Year to One & All......

Just had a bet on Sky bet and noticed that Mad Dog is 3rd Favourite for Gillingham job. Lets hope if he goes that he takes Akinde with him.
