The Tories represent privilege, greed, and the old school tie. Labour represents the workers. The Liberals are confused. Most of the others are freaks and fruitcakes. That's really all you need to know about politics Jonno.
As chancellor George hasn't done too much wrong. The bedroom tax scenario was a bad step but other than that he's been a cracking chancellor. At least he didn't reinstate window tax.
1. The Tories haven't got a compassionate bone in their body and don't care who gets thrown on the scrapheap. 2. They think poor people have no right to have family visit them unless they can afford hotels. 3. They lower taxes for the rich while cutting essential services. 4. They are so biased towards London and the Home Counties in their policies and their spending that they just **** the rest of the country. 5. When they want to do a token measure to help 'the north' they do some spending in Manchester thinking that is North - despite the fact that Manchester is 100 mles inside the southern half of britain. 6. Have you ever seen two ****wits with more 'hit me in the face with a sledgehammer' faces than Dave and George? 7. The Bullingdon Club 8. A) In order to solve the unaffordable housing crisis they bring in help to buy which increases demand and pushes up prices, instead of building more houses which lowers prices. B) Many of them have a large property portfolio. C) A+B=greedy corrupt bastards. 9) They think its ok for a tory MP to steal £45,000 and just say sorry but they scream like rabid dogs that people who steal £70 benefit should be locked up for years. 10) they are tories.
"You need a 15% lead a year out from an election to win that election. Labour has 2%." - Jeremy Vine. The Tories will win the election next year. Whether they have an outright majority though is difficult to say. Most likely they will have to form another coalition either with one of the Norn Ireland parties or with UKIP. So, Scotland faces the prospect of waking up to another right-wing Government with no interest in Scotland or we can go for independence and be run by a party which puts the interests of Scotland first, whether this be the SNP or Scottish Labour.
You do realise the latest opinion polls have the Tories and Labour neck and neck and one or two even have the Tories ahead? Look at the history of elections: the main opposition has to have at least a 15 per cent lead over the Government to win. A lot of the people who voted UKIP will go back to the Tories in the General Election. Face it, you're stuck with them for the foreseeable At least we have the option of getting rid of them once and for all.
gosh, it amazes me that even in 2014 "staunch Labourites" still have a 1970s opinion of the tories ... Archer and Pardew have both actually explained Labour under the chuckle brothers Blair & Brown, who took this country to the brink of bankruptcy ... it seems people simply refuse to accept a party, but approach politics like football, once I have my team that's it, no matter how sh1t they are "For the sake of Leeds United he would break himself in two"
Tories = work for a living and support yourself. Labour = nanny state supporting a horde of lazy bastard northerners who squirt out babies in order to get a larger council house. Vote Tory yacontcha!
