I think people are underestimating the value of players like Macca, Quinn, Fryatt and Boyd to the squad. They don't moan when they're left out, they don't disrupt the dressing room by sulking, and they bust a gut when they get their chance in the team. (You can add Meyler and Rosenior to those four, although they've managed to hold down a regular place.)

Most people have acknowledged the large role the fantastic squad chemistry has played this season, and to sell them off (for little return) only to spend fees and bigger wages on 'better' players would be an expensive gamble. Just look at the squads around the country littered with sulking high-profile, out-of-favour players.

I think a few signings in focused target areas to improve the first XI is the way to go.

Some City fans will be expecting Messi and Romaldo to arrive this summer.

Romaldo would certainly be a surprise...

You expect a fee for Prozzy?

If we can just get rid of him without paying most of his wages I think it will be a major achievement.

Someone said recently that Prossie was on £25k a week.

Jesus f**king Christ. Why can't I be rich for doing f**king nothing?

I don't even earn his weekly wage in a year, and if I did nowt and just moaned in a continental way like Nick, I'd get sacked.

I spent £1.50 on lunch today to save money.

I don't know where I'm going with this.

    Oh yeah, f**k off Nick!

Excellent post Tuckin. Other than Aluko, with whom even Bruce's patience seems to be wearing thin, this squad is very together. The Meyler knockers really get on my pip. Not only does he play his heart out but his enthusiasm and team spirit is infectious. Good guys all.

Spot on PLT. I've said the same thing. He just looks very slow to move and its affecting our defence. Looks like the Rock of Gibralter and moves like one. Personally I'd let the Yak get some action in the next two games. He at least is very agile and athletic.

I hope the only players to leave are the ones that the manager can replace with better.

I reckon that Ibramimovic might be worth looking at.

I don't think we'll have to spend much, to be fair. I think a few shrewd loans and free transfers should do us. No more than £10m.

I reckon spending 15/20 mill but don't see us getting any money from outgoings & that has always been our Achilles Heel!
