The mighty Spurs have those old rascals Chas 'n' Dave. Who, but the most Northern of our brethren, cannot get up and dance to classics such as "Rabbit Rabbit" or "If 'E Comes 'Round 'Ere"? United have Jedward. There's not much that anyone can really say about that. Luton have the Queen of pop, Elton John. 'Pool have Cilla Black, which is apt because she was popular when that club last had any real success. £ity are probably just about shaving it in the credibility stakes with Oasis. But what of your club? Are you lucky enough to have a top international performing artist associated with your club? In the interests of fairness, the nominations for any particular club should come from neutrals. And, lads, as ever, no wumming, please.
I didn't know Jedward supported United. Mick Hucknall was the one I first thought of. From a credibility perspective I'd prefer to put Manny forward to represent United! Elton John is Watford not Luton. The great Eric Morecambe was a Luton fan. Does he qualify?
No one appears to have read the rulets! You cannot put forward a top intternational recording artist for your own club, a non-supporter has to make the nomination, otherwise this thread won't be funny. So, for example, it's Cilla Black for 'Pool and Jedward for United. To be fair, I did nominate Chas n Dave for us, whereas I could have gone for The Dave Clarke Five, which would have been far less funny. See how it works, now?
Bonnie Prince Billy for Liverpool as he performed The Worlds Greatest. Alice in Chains for Man Utd for their song Down in a Hole.
For is it's probably Sting, Knopfler, ACDC, Jimmy Nail............................................... or Ant n Dec... let's get ready, let's get ready....
But do any of those artists support those clubs? That's the whole point of this thread. Anyway, we've already got 'Pool (Cilla Black) and United (Jedward) covered.
Kirsty Gallacher supports Liverpool. Natalie Sawyer supports Brentford. Zoe Ball supports Manchester United. Fatboy Slim supports Brighton (and Hove Albion). Eamonn Holmes supports Manchester United. So does John Terry. Jamie Carragher is a big Everton fan. As are Steve McManaman, Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen and, of course, Steven Gerrard. please log in to view this image If you listen very carefully you can hear the stampede of outraged Dippers.
I'm wondering if Eddie "the Eagle" Edwards supports West Ham. He looks like the sort of bloke who would.
