Could mean not replacing Downing with N'Zzzzog, or at least preparing Villa fans for it. Leaves the field open for us while the skunks are in the USA?

The editor of the fanzine I write the odd article for knows him personally. Apparently he wanted to join Newcastle in January last season too on deadline day but whealan blocked it. A few of the local north east journos have also mentioned similar mutterings. Makes no difference as I say because I think he will end up at villa.
Who knows Jarra as although he is a quality player who IMO would improve both our sides I also think it will come down to who will pay him the most something which will overide any friendships he has.
In what way? Nzogbia is easily worth 8-12m, if downing is worth 18-20, henderson 20m, phil jones 17m etc etc. if he went to sunderland in my opinion he'd be your best player.

He would definitely add to both our squads like, but having 3 players in Ben arfa, jonas and marveaux, i can see why we won't pay the money. 10 million for a player with 1 year left on his contract is ridiculous. If villa pay that it will be for no other reason that they are desperate.
