Well into the season, with Liverpool amongst the leaders and playing well, isn't time that everyone here recognised and said that you are in contention for the title? Apparently there is a deliberate policy of avoiding the word especially from Rodgers. Is it superstition? Is it the fear of other fans taking the mickey? http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/oct/27/liverpool-west-brom-premier-league-match-report The bookies certainly think that Liverpool is in contention.
You must think we have one braincell between us (poor effort 1 out of 10) Would be some achievement for us to win the league, getting Champions League must be the minimum for us
We won't win the title, we've had a fantastic start in terms of points but the reality is we're two points above fifth. One game at a time, let's sneak a point or three on Saturday and go from there.
Just had ham, cheese, cucumber, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and onion on my cob Might close this thread
I hope that everyone on here is sensible enough to completely ignore this. I spoke to Swarbs yesterday, and was telling him about the 'bread thread'. He said "You're talking about bread when you're joint second and you're not talking about Liverpool's position relative to us". Not a ****ing chance
There's always one and quite often it's me. I'm not saying we will win the league or that we're capable of winning it but while it's possible I'll be hoping that we can win it. We have to aim high and try to win the league.
Joking aside, we're a quarter of the way through the season & you're still in contention. I think it's foolish of the pundits / media to be talking about City being strong contenders, when they're 6 points off the pace, but more or less ignoring those who are currently closer to the summit. That said, you've had a relatively easy start to the season in terms of the fixture list, the big tests are still to come, starting on Saturday.
Well the best comment about utd's league position has already been said - Moyes spent 11 years trying to get Everton above utd, he's finally done it!
And one of the rarest occasions in the last 20 years the phrase " whoever finish above United will win the title" does not quite ring true...
