I'm somewhat confused. Two ageing Formula 1 billionaires buy a London Football Club. They state ' That they have a 5 year plan to get QPR into the Premier League.' En-route, they also recruit Britains 'Richest man.' Britains richest man, appoints son-in-law to oversee matters, who recruits Sir Neil of Warnock, whom brings stability and in very quicktime, success! ( Achievement of Initial goal, within time-frame.) More luck than design, surely we all realise that. On reaching 'The Premiership' they allow stability man to resign, re-take the reign's, then sit there & do nothing. Other than allow media speculation on the 'Retained services of our best manager, ( Since 1983 ). Publicly announce that there are practically 'No funds for investment ...£10m at best. Is there a cunning plan, that we will swoop on some great signings at the twelth hour? Are they indeed holding-out for a Mittal buy out? If, and a very big IF! They are purely business men. What with all their worldly business acumen, why buy a football club? Football Clubs per-say, don't make money. Surely they realised that buying a football club is not a good business move. So on reaching 'The Premiership ' why don't they give it a go? Comparitively, even £200m is the equivalent to most of us, working class, investing a months wages into our club. I would do it, but that's why i'm probably not a billionaire!
Still think that their current game plan is to sell to the mittals for close to £100m. I'm hoping that happens in the next week....
Goons game plan. Buy cheap, sell up make a profit and leave millions and millions of QPR fans, grateful they saved the club but realise they have over stayed their welcome. Buy CFC, fail to invest in team and CFC fail to deliver leaving QPR fans (the millions and milionsof them very happy). Sell QPR to the Mittals WHO invest in NW's game plan to get QPR established as a prmiership side, build a new stadium which holds 30 to 40 thousand, and become West London's top side.
I think it's pretty clear. The game plan was always to turn round a failing central London football club and then make a profit by selling it on to seemingly endless supply of billionaires that want to be involved with the EPL. They actually sucked in one such billionaire early on in the project but he was less gullible than they supposed and TBH I do not believe is willing to gamble even a small amount of his fortune on a football club. They continue to try to maximize their profit however. The worst-case scenario is that they hold out for too much or too long and we end up without someone committed to the club in charge. The most scary fact is that as of today our manager continues to investigate Championship standard players rather than the quality we need to stay up which indicates he is not expecting new investment.
I can't see Bernie sitting back and watching it all go pear-shaped before he can cash in, he really is in the optimum position to make a profit now, before money is spent keeping us up. If we are bottom at Christmas he'll have a hell of a job finding a buyer to pay anywhere near what he could get now. Therefore, I believe we are close to a deal that will make all parties, especially us the supporters, happy.
