It's a question me and the lads are debating today.
If fit and all on form I'd play a 5 man midfield conprising of.

    Aarons
    Tiote
    Sissoko
    Colback
    Cabella

The wing men and Sissoko can link play with the front man.

On current form, and if everyone was fit, I'd say...

    Aarons
    Tiote/Colback
    Abeid
    Sissoko
    Obertan

No HBA from either of you. What kind of fan are you?

    ----------Tiote Colback---------
    -------------Sissoko------------
    Obertan-----------------Aarons

Sissoko in that roving role Pardew has had him playing. It suits him to have that freedom, and he now seems to understand the value of getting back in when we don't have it, which was the problem when he played centrally last time. Abeid is pushing hard and Cabella still has serious potential for me. Sammy is clearly an impact player.

Do you not think Tiote having to give Colback a "piggy back" is going to affect his game?

    Piggy back???

No, you misunderstand. During his absence Tiote has been having a proper think about how to get the fans back on side. He has read that fans love a player who wears his heart on his sleeve. However, this being Tiote, he has decided to wear Jack Colback's heart on his sleeve instead.

Don't be daft, he'll just carry on like a true Jedi Master - just like Luke Skywalker training with Master Yoda on his back. <ok>

That's right. I've come around to him. Let's not make this a big deal chaps.

Best midfield for me is with both Sissoko and Colback getting forward. Stop all this 2 holding players nonsense. Abeid still behind Tiote for me, but he's looking like a more than capable replacement.

    ------------------ Tiote -------------------

    -------- Sissoko -------- Colback --------

    Cabella --------------------------- Aarons

So does that mean Abeid is playing centre half?

The tricky thing is, if as the OP states "if fit and all in form" then I'd have to consider de Jong. But it's difficult to know who he'd replace as we've barely seen him in a Toon shirt.

Abeid looks promising, but I don't think he can be ahead of any of Tiote, Colback or Sissoko after just one Prem game.

And I'm not yet sure about Cabella...

And I can't believe that after just a handful of good performances, Obertan can suddenly be elevated to first choice after I thought he was ****e for so long...

Likewise, Sammy is starting to come good...

And Anita seems to have gone off the boil...(but then, it's "if fit and in form")...

    And where is Bigi...?

    And Raylor is back...

And we could recall a fit and in form Benni...

    I'm so confused!

OK I've decided. "If fit and all on form" I'd play:

    Tiote
    Colback
    Sissoko
    Aarons
    Benni

Just to annoy Warm Pouch/Hacky Sack/DMW/Boro Gully :)

Yes, mate. Abeid at centre half alongside Sammy Ameobi at Left Half. And Colo at Inside Forward.

I was the one to slate them for no HBA. Fit and in form he is streets ahead. Fat and selfish he remains at the bottom. He is mainly the latter  Who needs him, we have Aarons. Obertan on current form is miles ahead of them all.

Obertan is ahead of Aarons at the moment but not miles ahead in my view. The kid is the most exciting thing to come out of our academy since Carroll at least, perhaps ever.

Ever for me. I can't believe Bristol City released him. Supposedly he was highly thought of and that City Academy is meant to be a goldmine just not quite utilised properly. I think a regime change or some mismanagement brought about his departure. Very grounded lad, if he stays that way then sky is the limit. We'll do well to hold onto him for any period of time. I hope he is looked after and not flogged and set up as the next "big thing"

I think with Abeid it is far to early to tell but I gotta say I like the way he has applied himself and knuckled down.

I still think Ben Arfa isn't beyond reprieve.

Entirely up to him. However his contract is running out and it seems unlikely Pardew will give him yet another chance to the extent where they renew. I'm not sure he'd want to stay either and will probably relish a fresh start and a big pay day.

Lets just move on from benni. He's a pain in the ass. And I used to love him.
