How much would you say this club is worth in its present state? I would love to know the valuation the board has put on this club What would he wrong putting it out in the public domain?
I heard that £10 million plus would be needed to take over, but the UWE scenario probably muddies the waters.
i could be way off p49 but i would have thought it would be more than what the money that sainsburys are willing to pay for the mem. if they are paying say £25million for the mem then rovers have an asset for that amount and then whatever valuation you add on top which could be a nice figure seeing we have the planning permission for UWE. im no expert on this stuff so im just guessing.
Can't see many takers on that price Would be nice to see a local investor pick this club back up. It has the support week in week out season after season We should turn the table now and have a rally cry to the board as they do to us when times are looking bleak

Well to get a true valuation you need to know what the club assets are worth and what assets the CLUB owns not individuals. Players values, stadium, sponsorships etc. we will probably never know the true value.
Well if the biggest asset (The Mem) is owned by anameless private individual and as such is not owned by, or in Trust for the benefit of the Club we should find that a very, very low value is based on the Club as far as assets are concerned. Truthfully consider the real value of the current Squad, which is perhaps the biggest asset. Pence rather than ponds although I'll be kind in my and give a generous estimate in arriving at the figure below. Sponsorship income, in football terms for nixies (hardly worth talking about), I honestly reckon less than £1.5 million would be way over the top if you take out the Mem. Liabilities and contracts in place almost certainly exceed that total so in effect the Club should be available for a nominal peppercorn payment of I suggest £1.00. Pass the bucket round at the Telford game and there is the purchase money and then some. I jest not.
i would presume though we would have to factor in the valuation of the mem? only presuming this based on actual events with UWE and sainsburys. i mean, say a new person buys the club for £1.5million, higgs would still own the stadium as he owns the mem stadium company which owns the stadium. we then pay rent to higgs? or would higgs continue to sell the mem and keeps the millions that sainsburys is offering which then leaves us homeless, unless the new person has the funds to sort UWE out him/herself? basically we cant actually afford to lose higgs yet! unless the person who buys the club also buys the mem stadium company to then carry on the deal with sainsburys and then have teh funds to move to UWE. if so then the money needed to buy the club has massively shot up.
It sound like Higgs is in a win win situation judging by the last few posts Seems to me he's made his retirement nest egg no matter what league rovers play in. He won't be going anywhere soon
Well historically as far as Rovers Directors have been concerned they have always been in it for themselves and personal gain. Think Con (thats an appropriate name) Stevens and his band of monied brothers at Eastville. As those among you may know when the Club fell on difficult financial times back in the day The Bristol Stadium Company (which included notable Board members of Rovers) purchased Rovers main asset. The Old and much loved Eastville Stadium for I think around 80k. Charged Rovers by contrast a very large rent for playing there week in week out. The Football Combination Reserve side used to play there also for info. Years pass and in the end with dwindling on field success for Rovers crowds drop and rent rises until in the end a departure to Twerton (thankfully) see's the Club survive thanks in the main to Dennis Dunford and his determination to keep Rovers going for the right reasons. Meanwhile back at Eastville The Bris Stadium Company sell the Stadium and surrounding area, trouser a nice, nice, wedge and sit back and think we were clever bar stewards. Looks like history might be about to repeat itself, where will we be off to this time around ? Just might be The Newly Developed Trashton as we wont as a Club be able to go further afield because effectivley we will be bust. I hope the above does not come to pas but this is Bristol Rovers we are talking about it and odd things seems to happen at our Club.
