    1. Horse shoes and Hanggrenades. -- Green Day
    2. Sweet Home Alabama -- Lynyrd Skynyrd
    3. Whisky in the Jar -- Thin Lizzy
    4. Hate My Life -- Theory of a Deadman
    5. In To Deep -- Sum 41
    6. Ace of Spades -- Motorhead
    7. Dear God -- Avenged Sevenfold
    8. Miss you -- Blink 182
    9. Evidence -- Jimmy Eat World
    10. Hot Dog -- Limp Bizkit.

So guys was just wondering what is on your cd when you are travelling away from home.

And a s a side note and excluding 'TAKE ME TO THE VETCH FIELD'. What is your favourite football song. mine is a toss up between 2. 'BACK HOME' 1970 Engerlund world cup song and have to say '3 LIONS'. I know they are both English but brill football songs.

I'm too eclectic really, depends what mood I'm in. Could be as proggy as musty (prefer 'Tales From Topographic Oceans', musty) or even rock - Blue Oyster Cult were one of my faves back in the day - but now it could even be one of the Hed Kandi/ Stereo Sushi compilations after discovering house music following a brief flirtation with funk back in the 70s. Each to their own I guess.

Saw Incognito in Camden last year - they were amazing so they are a favourite right now.

    Like I said, very eclectic.

Well can't make away games but do 40k a year in my job , listen to guns and queen when going out and about. Whilst this is not music, enjoy the real radio phone in week days at 6pm for those who don't know ;)

Take your pick (Michael Miles - remember that show?) from:
Captain Beefheart, Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix, Grateful Dead, Cream, George Thorogood, Tangerine Dream, Kitaro, Zeppelin, Dylan, The Doors, Wishbone Ash, Floyd, Leslie West, Alice Cooper, Jethro Tull etc.

Holidayed in Perpignan recently doing 3,000 miles in total. The car has a CD player but I plugged in my 20g Zen with over 500 tracks - I believe it can hold a couple of thousand depending on format. I'd have a job to select a top 100 but off the top of my head:-

    George Harrison - Cheer Down.
    George Harrison - Isn't it a Pity.
    Springsteen - Born to Run.
    Big Audio Dynamite - E=MC2.
    Arcade Fire - Wake Up.
    Paolo Nutini - Candy.
Ronnie Laine - Roll on Babe.
Exile - Kiss you all over.
Kings of Leon - Sex on Fire.
    The Jam - That's Entertainment.

My taste is hugely varied including popular classics but specific albums I also took included stuff by, Queen, ELO, Dark Side of the Moon, Fleetwood Mac, Beautiful South, Travelling Wilburys and others. I also played tracks by The Julian Laxton Band a South African group from the 70s - very different sound and well in advance of its time; Blue Water and Celebrate the Rain are two of my favourites by them. At the moment I'm listening to Go Outside (The Cults) and Lopez is up next with On the Floor - I wish!!!!!!! Two totally different genres of music.

I don't know about you guys but a favourite track is often not just about the music. I associate a lot of music with a happy time, a memorable event or whatever and playing the track brings back those memories.

Pink Floyd or the Blues for me, now here's a Trivia question for you. Who is the only Beatle sibling who has featured on a UK Number 1. A free walk to Cardiff and a ticket for a game, which you have to buy for the winner. No googling it, like you won't.

At a guess I would say Zak Starkey, he`s worked with loads of groups, including the Who & Oasis and would be the one most qualified.

No offence but there's some right old farts on here.

Are you old buggers aware of anyone from the 80's onwards ? Its fine liking some of the old classics I'm guilty of that too but we are in the 21st century now.

Swainseye is spot on with Zak Starskey but not for the reason given. He was in "The Crowd" who got to Number 1 on the 15th June 1985 doing a re-make of You'll never walk alone with Jerry Marsden. It was a fund raiser following the Bradford fire. Old fart Dilligaf? Excuse me, I resemble that remark! Still some new great blues being made too.
