I am now well conditioned / reconciled to the fact that 3 things this season will not happen 1) we win the division 2) we are runners up in the division 3) we will not get relegated ...and... we may not make the play offs ...and ... we may not finish in top 10 our past 7 results have done for us as it is doing for Norwich .. making us also rans this season ... which may not be a bad thing !
3rd placed Reading away next, followed up by Ipswich at home who could leap frog us with a win. Villa in 16th place are only 2 points behind us- We do need to return to the form we had earlier in the season- The next few games are key
We will be mid table at best., maybe below mid table the way things are going. To make the top 6 next season we need significant signings.
I am not advocating a new manager but just threw out the question as it won't be long before others question his ability.
Angelic is right, Junior is a Lansdown appointment. It's why we've spent more on players than we ever have and more again in January. Lansdown doesn't want to look foolish for employing Junior, but he will.
I hope he changes his stance, carry on the way we're going the cooker will start boiling. 2-8 in eight is very poor, another 4 or 5 "losses the pressure is going to burst. Such a shame after such a good start. A concerning thing for me,of all the players he has brought in,not many are regulars.
any team that does not win 19 or more games rarely if ever gets into top 6, and it is very rare if a team loses more than 12 they get into top 6 so we need to win 12 of our next 29 games that's just 1 in every 2 or so and not lose more than 6 or 7 ( be the odd man out and lose more 12! so 10 draws would be a good target? especially if 7 are away from home!
He may well do in time, but that's exactly what Junior will be given, unlike his predecessor. Unfortunately I think the reasonable start we made to this season flattered us a little, and gave some on here false hope of a top 6 finish, despite (expected) losses to Newcastle and Norwich. But Tammy was then an unknown quantity, and other teams (Villa, Derby, Leeds etc) were still making adjustments on and off the field. Yet we still threw points away when well placed to win games. But now other teams/Managers have us sussed, and as a result goals have also dried up. Sorry, but I can't see anything other than another defeat at Reading.
1 win in 8? Its 1 in 7 and 1 of those was the League Cup game. Our last 8 League games are won 3 drawn 1 and Lost 4 which is about as middle of the road as you can get. And 5 of the players (which for the uneducated is almost half the team) that started Saturday were bought in by him.
If it was intended as a single statement, in other words not taking a statement and then adding to it from another statement later in the post then it would qualify for a double negative status.... does it not!! certainly Villa and Derby we did, we had to, in previous seasons we would have still lost out to these although they were having a bad patch, but Rotherham was the bitterest pill, Barnsley the next ... we would have been 5th
patterson.when you look how many he has brought in,for me the majority do not play. Maggs,Tomlin,Tammy,O'Neil have been regulars in the first team week in,week out, however Patts has not.
