What is it with shola

alreet everyone first timer here so here goes↲.↲
what is it with shola amajokeme we all think hes sh**e yet every manager hes ever worked under sings his praises and he still pops up with goals like last weekend. are we wrong and know nowt and hes mint but just plays like that to pi** Us off

 

According to the interview yesterday pardew says he's great in training and has a spot on attitude shame it only translates on the pitch in patches.
I'm happier now he's a back up and not our main striker as shown against the spuds when he can be bothered he's a handful,just a shame in all the years he's played he still doesn't understand the off side rule.

Pardew talked about the value of having "model professionals at the club" in his interview yesterday, and the two names he referenced were Shola and Alan Smith. They probably help a lot with such a young squad. Also, when Shola is fully fit and interested, I think he's a good squad player.

He was out of favour with Allardyce and Keegan, but Pards seems to value him as a good person to have around the dressing room.

 

Does anyone else think that Shola just tires himself out working really hard in training all week so when it comes to the match he just falls over all the time.

 

He definitely falls over should have named him Bambi.

On and off the field Shola has never been any trouble and in interviews he speaks very well.

But and there's always a but with Shola and one of those he never has been consistant on the pitch. One game he's brillant next week he's rubbish.

 

Wasn't it Shearer who once replied "Shola can be as good as he wants to be" when asked how good he was?

 

Shola is the most inconsistent and annoying footballer ever known to man.

Unfortunately Shola is destined to be one of those players who never fullfills his potential, which is a shame as he seems like a decent guy.

 

Quite possibly, I remember reading somewhere that Sir Bobby said Shola had the potential to be one the best strikers in the world.

Similarly, I remember when young Sammy was 16 and was featured in a section on nufctv which had all the academy lads introduce themselves and then the coach at the time (might have been Willie Donachy) had to describe them himself. He said Sammy was infuriating, just like his brother, as he was the most naturally technically gifted player he'd ever seen, but sometimes, for no reason whatsoever, he would play terribly!

Don't know whether that is a good or a bad thing for us in the future?

 

Shola is inconsistent. He also looks lazy.

When he is not effective, it looks like he's ineefective because he can't be bothered. This drives supporters mad. When he has an averagee game, he still looks lazy. The supporters are still pissed off with him from the last match and think he's playing ****e.

And then sometimes he has a good game

 

He falls over because his name is Foluwa Shola lol

 

Maybe now theres competition he will up his game.
If he plays like he did against the spud then he should start for me

 

Scary how much attitudes have changed since the 5 page article last week. My thoughts remain the same, perfectly decent backup but nothing more, he needs to be a motivated impact player rather than a sauntering starter.

 

i think this was mentioned by Beardsley last year that he could be lazy sometimes but its just what he's like maybe that's why pardew only see's him as an impact sub.
