im not just talking on field im talking EVERYTHING to do with bristol city so from the top right down to the bottom ( this symbol "*" means IMO should go ) *Chairmen - IMO not strong enough to have a championship club and is a puppet *Board - Some are good some aren't Manager - Yes he is the right man, His season in next, this is just a constant struggle to get the best out of a bad bunch Assist Manger - Del works well with him so yes i think he is the right guy *Coaching Staff - I Think Del NEEDS to bring in his own team, to comfy down there Fans - We have done are part BRILLIANTLY at home and we haven't been rewarded ( that was just the BIG parts of the club now for the individuals) GK *James - This has to be his last season, VERY GOOD, but its time for us to start looking again Gerken - i like him, i feel he did very well in his first season (GOOD ENOUGH TO SEE US 10TH!!!!) Defenders *Spence - Send him back *Riberio - who is he Edwards - Promising Wilson - Ready to play, And good enough *Carey - to old now Fontaine - Best Defender *Nyatanga - Not consistant enough, sell and replace with a better CB McManus - Not seen enough to judge but seems solid and very experienced *Mcgivern - Slow and very average *McAllistar - Old, Slow and Injury prone TATA *Stewart - Not Good enough Foster - Fast and seems a good buy Midfielders Elliott - Old Guard and Very reliable Cisse - Good Holding Player Davies - Very impressed with his debut, see what else he can offer Adomah - 5 ***** Bolasie - Adomah mark 2 sooner rather than later *Pearson - quick player but sometimes slow plays down Kilkenny - Hot and Cold player *Woolford - Please Go....NOW Skuse - Utility man Worth keeping Reid - Future starter with bags of potential (but how many times have we said that) *JCR - again not consistent cuts in the middle to much, last season for us now Strikers Pitman - Best striker at the club MUST START EVERY GAME Stead - Showed why he deserves his place yesterday *Wood - Not lived up to potential ( still time though) *Clarkson - Big flop Taylor - looks promising *Jackson - non mover never play for us ( yeah i know, how big is our squad.... thats leaving out a few youngsters too!) so that's 14 players i'd like to see given the boot and replace them with 7 DECENT signings To Sign list in the summer a new goalkeeper Recognized RB Experienced CB 2 Creative Midfielders 1 New maynard 1 promising striker
Pearson going?! Hell no! One of our only players that moves into space well and doesn't have any glaring weaknesses. Other than that i'd pretty much agree, we need a new GK though if James retires because I don't think Gerken is good enough to be a regular starter. Not bad shot stopper but terrible at crosses. Also, can some tell Albert next season that he is allowed to run ahead of the ball/into space. He never bloody does it. I don't care if he can beat 4 players in a row on occasion, if he just moved off the ball he'd only be up against the full back and have more time to deliver a decent ball in.
New keeper. Scott Loach who has been linked would be a good keeper to bring in. Though id love alex smithies. Defence needs building from scratch. Would build the future defence around Wilson. Still not keen in foster who can cross the ball but he has bad positioning for a full back. Hopefully he will improve. Midfield needs redesigning. Need a reconised left winger to replace McIndoe who left years ago and was never replaced. Albert is fine on the right. Two new centre midfielders that might lead to balance. 1 that can pass and defence. The other that can pass and get forward. As for strikers its hard to say if we already have the right strikers until they get service which they wont get until the midfield is changed. I think our biggest issue this season is we can never play the same 11 in consistant games as players like Fonts are very injury prone
Agree with most of what you said but I don't rate Kilkenny that much think he is reason we have to play with 5 man midfield. Too scared to tackle hence can't defend and **** me does he moan on the pitch! Elliott does not look up when he gets the ball tends to pass blind! Would have Skuse any time in my team over him. Foster can play either right or left Think Fontaine works better with someone experienced with him, don't think full captain ability, and injury prone.
what we need is someone to close down on the bloke on the ball and not stand off and let em run with us yes new goalie don't rate dean at all spence i will decide end of season new commanding right footed cb foster to come foward when on left new cm who can tackle and pass not 1 or other Albert to be alert more often sometimes seems to be in his own world proper left footed winger as usually its an empty space heskey up front lol joking but in seriousness we need someone to bully the opposition defence
Shiny. Mate. You need to get laid. 1400 posts in a year, thats 30 odd hand-shandies a week instead of posting. Think of the children. Please. You posting on here deprives the gene pool of your charisma, charm, wit and most of all grammar. Its a huge loss to mankind, possibly changing the course of evolution. Next time you reach for the keyboard, just ask yourself....should this much energy not be going into a sperm bank instead? You could shape the world here mate. The future.
What we need is players who attack:- a). the ball - those who sit around me will be bored stupid by my shouting "no free headers" only to see them time after time in midfield and this is the source of a large number of opposition goals. b). the penalty area/box - granted this is something that our strikers long since gave up on due to the rarity of balls coming into the box. Have to say this was much better yesterday c). players with hunger, confidence in their ability and no fear, the general atmosphere is one of caution
