Hi to all you gunners, saints fan here in peace.

What is going on at your club? All your top players seem to want out, are they losing respect for wenger and are you guys? He always seems to build for the future but never for the present. My sister, brother-in-law and their kids are gunners fans and would never have a bad word said about your manager but now it seems very different.

Personally i think wenger is on borrowed time, i think it is time AFC to have change at the top. Arsenal are one of the biggest clubs in the world and to go this length of time with no silverware, to me shows there is something not right.

    Thoughts

    Good luck for the season
Hope to be at your fantastic stadium next season.

  3. Only two players want out.... apparently so it's no biggie. Bendtner is only a biggie because of his size ;) but thanks for worrying. It's much appreciated.

Just wanted to reassure you that Arsenal are big enough to cope without them, especially as reinforcements are on the way. The rest of the EPL should watch out. We're cool

One wants home and glory - the other £180k per week.

    Do you blame them?

The only two that wants out are top players. Don't get me going about the rest of the team bar persie, wilshere and verma.

He built for the future but the future never came!

Very strange why most of the good players want out. Obviously Wenger has lost the dressing room.

The main reason is they want to win things actually.

True but its not as simple as that. Nasri's main motivation definitely seems to be money and Fabregas is wanted by his boyhood club, who happen to be the best team on earth.

    @ Waxy

Nasri's eyes were full of £££ notes and the Sheikh's signature on the monthly cheques, or is he paid weekly? I'm not knocking the man. Well, not really. 180K is tough to turn down. It's just his timing that is irksome. Now when you consider that he wasn't playing well from DEc/Jan onwards, you'll soon appreciate that he wasn't such a big player for us really. For 23m, City can have him.

Cesc, having turned his back on Barca now wanted to go home.

They may have been big players but that does not mean they were the most effective for us. Who knows how the following season will pan out? Cesc may have been an outstanding footballer but he wasn't a great leader which is one of the factors Arsenal lacked on the field of play. So big perhaps wasn't that big after all...

yes its time for a major rebuild - but is Wenger the man to do it?

I worry that he will buy more young 'possibly good in 2 years time' instead of fixing todays problems.

  11. Well, that concerns me too but the transfer window is still open and for all we know, Arsene could be keeping things tres close to his chest ;)

true - perhaps is about to buy Vidic / Alonso / Villa and one of the top 3-ish keepers?

  14. Our management appear to buy players having factored in what they may be worth down the line. Hence unless there is a change of approach I can't see them breaking the £15m+/- threashold nor approach it with some or indeed any regularity. It would give fans much encouragement were they to do so but it seems a tough call. For that reason I wonder if we would remain in the hunt for Mata now that the asking price has gone up. That it has is fodder for another thread altogether.......

I recall Mr Gazidis being very clear when interviewed by R5 Live that Arsenal would never buy success. Instead they would rather grow it. This club though is up against others who will open their chequebooks so can nurturing success ever beat the buying of it at least on a regular basis? I wonder how many fans will have cause to reflect on Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith's call of a couple of months ago?
