don't worry yorkie, it was just a dream you were having. best you get back to sleep. nighty nighty... zzzzz
York - we have been playing VERY VERY well of late but not getting the results. We really, and I don't think this is me being biased should have had 9 points off Brum / Blackpool and Leeds. However, 5-1 is ridiculous. We should never have been in this trouble, now lets push on and get a result Saturday.
I've been in a bar in West Yorkshire all evening talking business, come out of it around 10pm and remember that Town were playing the Hammers tonight... Huh? Have I misread that somehow? What in the **** happened tonight? I am keen to move back to Suffolk soon, I miss it dearly, huh? 5-1 Town v West Ham? Really? Nahh
here is your reality check: the year we went down we battered champions wolves 5-2. it could and should have been 15-0. we thought we were going to put a run together. we didn't. don't get too carried away - i'm sure you won't. hereth endeth the lesson and congrats on your win!
Just got up for work saw result, had to reboot the computer just to make sure, WTF is going on up there? Still made my day already and it's only 6.30 am.
Hear what your saying canary. Everything went out way tonight though. Coventry, who were on the verge of putting back to back wins together, conceded 2 very late goals away at Blackpool. That makes their confidence for Saturday's game with us certainly be dented to say the least ! Nottingham Forest and Millwall also lost, and fortunately for us, I'm 100% CONVINCED there are 3 worse sides than us in this league. Probably more. We're 7 points clear of the drop zone now, so I'm certainly happier than prior to the game. We've actually been playing rather well recently, without getting the points we deserved. Still not convinced with this defence, but its certainly an improvement. I'll give a review of Coventry of our game with Coventry Saturday as I'm going. Come on you blues.
IF we manage 3 points against Coventry and Forest, Millwall, Donny don't win then I will breathe a big sigh of relief! Knowing Town as I do the complete opposite will happen!
Thank you for that supers, it is a very valid point, It is all very well doing the double over wet sham, who I might add had the ref on their side all night as well, finishing the game with ten men....speechless....if you get doubled by Forest who get beaten by everyone else you are going to be struggling. How big is Cov. away this saturday....massive..!
I woke up in shock when I saw that result - incredible win for Town! Are you lot West Ham's bogey team or something?
absolutely fantastic result, loving it more as it seems that drury and hyam, 2 players who weren't deemed good enough by PJ were at the centre of a dominant midfield against nolan, noble etc. surely thats Jewell's biggest mistake, loaning off or not playing the likes of those two. they're clearly more up for it and are far more effective! no need to rant about it too much though tonight after a great performance..... onwards and upwards!
Terrific performance, and result. Midfield did great, Hyam and Drury won their battle against the hammers midfield. Martin however was man of the match, good on the ball, used space well, and never stopped running, The two goals from jet were the icing on the cake really. It was pleasing to see what we did when we didn't have the ball, hurrying the hammers players, denying them time and space. The big disappointment, was the performance of the referee, should have been a red card, and it was never a dive by Martin. I did say in another post, that this match had all the ingredients for a massacre, wait a minute though!
