Sources like http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/15621888.stm say that NP wants to have talks about coming back to Leicester. What if he doesn't come here (because we appointed someone else, he decides not to come etc.) would Hull fans accept him back or would you want to get rid of him either now or in the future? BTW There is nothing malicious about this post - I'm just curious about how you regard NP (e.g. like we regard O'Neill whom we welcomed back with open arms when he got his head turned by Leeds or like Megson who we basically told to bugger off when Bolton came sniffing around).
I would (Personally) want him out no matter what, i said on a previous threat any manager that will not stick by his club, should not be there at all.
it's tough cos he's kept quiet. If it turns out he doesn't want to leave (unlikely otherwise he'd put it to bed long ago) then of course i'd take him back but he needs to clarify his stance.
Pearson is coming Stick BBC Radio Leicester on the football forum starts in a minute and we can here what Stringer knows
Then he doesn't come here. I'm not fussed either way. I think there are 3/4 that can do as good of a job as NP. BUT, if we et him then it means we'll get rid of Originalwankerman for a good few months
I rate him massively, and I'm gutted that this seems to happening. On the one hand, I want him to stay to carry on the good job he's doing. On the other, surely he's been disloyal? I don't see, even if by some quirk he doesn't go, how he can rescue this situation in the eyes of City fans. Tainted.
Still got this horrible feeling that he will speak to us and decide to stay. But I don't think Nigel is the type of person to rock the boat like this unless he's 100% sure of something and I don't think he'd risk losing a good job at Hull if he wasn't sure he was coming back here.
It would make the season if O'Neill came to Hull what a final kick in the bollocks that would be for Leicester! or if Sven came in and got us promoted.
After NP bleating about Leicester allowing us to talk to him, standing high on moral ground, then us turning down the approach from Leicester, and him still wanting to speak, it reaks of hypocracy. That`s if the rumours are true, which I suspect they are. Fraid he has burnt his bridges here if that is the case for me. I had NP down as an honourable man, would appear the colour of money speaks very loudly.
Good luck to NP, he's done a great job with us given the state we were in when he took over. Some sections of the crowd couldn't get on board with his brand of football and he's hardly set the world alight while he's been here so I won't be crying myself to sleep tonight. I think it's quite a risky move for him, the Leicester owners aren't afraid to hire and fire, I doubt he'll get as much time to get it right as he would get here. The few Leicester fans I know are pretty underwhelmed, what with the budget and people like MON and Sparky being mentioned, NP is hardly a blow your socks off type of appointment (in their words). Sure there are a few Leicester fans enjoying rubbing our noses in it. People like Proud Fox who a couple of days ago said he didn't want him back. He hasn't signed on the dotted line and I'd enjoy it if he didn't go just because of people like Proud Fox looking like a total clown but good luck to him and good luck to Leicester.
It's rare that a manager is given money to get a club promoted as well as time to do it. You'd give a manager time who'd had no money, or a manager money but not much time. I can't imagine his brand of football would keep a club in the Premiership once promoted though. There's only so many Man United loanees that can hack it at that level.
I also doubt any of you have ever listened to Radio Humberside, which is where these reports have come from, but they're an absolute bunch of clowns. They said we were definitely going into administration last year, never happened. Sounds like a good old clutch at some straws, but they are total morons.
We didn't really have that many Man Utd loanees last time he was here. We had a mix from teams like Liverpool, Arsenal etc. so not a bad place to look. The only Man U player we had was Tom Cleverley and any club in League 1 wouldn't turn down the chance to have him in the squad. I think it was more your connection with Warren Joyce that got you a lot of Man U players. But he does have a very good scout in Steve Walsh so I think any further money is in safe hands.
how about the anti - Nigel Pearson fans who blight message boards as well as the HDM and Humberside. Capt. Cave Man stands out even though he is a wum.
Yeah he's got good contacts with clubs like that but for the big money that Leicester has, you're looking at higher calibre footballers whom the big clubs won't be willing to let go permanently, like Cleverley. Walsh is a big loss too, they haven't made a poor signing under us.
