A combination of my season ticket returning after two-and-a-half years on loan, coupled with huge work pressures has meant that I've not seen the Rangers live since the Southampton match. I was away on business this weekend, returning very late and tried to catch up, but there's so many posts with lots of rich content, no doubt. Skimming the last couple of posts on the matchday thread it appears that we have been trying hard, been unlucky, CR is a good motivator, but bad tactically, and to top it all there's another suspected rift in the camp?! Can anyone help me out with a concise précis of events over the past week or so....
First the earth cooled. Then the dinosaurs came and Harry Redknapp finalised his tactical approach. Then QPR went on holiday to Dubai and came back injured and hating each other. Too much detail?
Sku, things aren't as bad as everyone is making out .................. so says the word of TF. Twitter will repair the injuries. Twitter will heal the riffs in the squad. Twitter will even, get this ............ get us our next three points! If only we could get Twitter to show SWP how to put the ball in the back of the net ............. that is, our net.
To take the counter argument....the team are at least trying, but our squad is too lightweight in both numbers and skill to make a real fight of it. Too many niggling injuries....but at least half the team are playing out of their skins (in a limited to their own ability sort of way.....Yun, Green, Furlong, Henry, Phillips Sandro, Zamora and possibly Isla ). Some others are inept Rio (and increasingly Caulker, Hoillet)....but due to bad forward planning, we do not have the squad to cover it. CR, has got the players working together, but his plan for last two matches has been kick the ball to OBZ and he will lay on a goal for Charlie (or Sandro)...It has worked....but that is the only idea. There is a rumour going round, that Taarbs has thrown his toys out the pram again and is refusing to train....and that Zarate and Vargas will not play on the same team...so neither are playing (there are alos rumours that both are injured)So that is the synopsis Bottom line...as of Saturday the team are still holding together, and playing just about OK, but with no tactical nounce, but have just played Spurs and Arsenal. The next two matches are vital
Sku TBH i think that Harry has messed us up. The team is not good enough for the Premiership and certainly not good enough for the fight ahead. We look slow disjointed and keep making the same mistakes as we were at the beginning of the season. That is down to Harry and his dinosaur football brain. The team (i believe) has responded well to CR but you cannot turn 'Caulker into wine'. Start looking at away fixtures in the Championship next season because i think we will be playing there.
We are hanging in there Sku and losing by small margins The fickle want players out and change their minds every game so nothing changed We limped up with a lot of luck We stopped Harold spending more money and have a brilliant new manager from leftfield who is trying to sort it out but we have lost in the last minute against a good saints side Barton lost us a game at Hull because he is a twat Been in both games against Arsenal and Spurs but it's not good enough and fear is worrying the weak We are rebuilding and have a good set of players It will be close But its dooms or many not me I like the change and think we will make it because of one sime fact we are getting better
I can just about accept the run of 2-1 defeats, hard as it is to take, but THAT revelation has just crushed any sense of hope I had. It's bad enough being away from Loftus Road, and now it seems as soon as my back is turned, the little lady's taking a fancy to London's finest from Blue Watch. I'll be reporting this all back to Sub Officer Hallam..... Borrowing a phrase from my old mucker CernyBerny - it's time to give my pint sized bird the Spanish archer.....
