I must admit to being a "closet" reader of the Portsmouth board as it is fun to keep up to speed with the to-oings and fro-ings of our rivals. I used to do the same on the old 606 board and am familiar with many of the old names. One of the best posters on the old board was Fratton Funk Daddy who always seemed very curtious and a good bloke but he doesn't seem to have migrated across to this board unless he has a new name. Always felt that his posts were very well informed and his football knowledge was one of the things that made reading the Portsmouth website worthwhile. Is he still lurking around in cyberspace? I think he is a 'Not606' member Ian. He is probably waiting for the old BBC 606 site to close before he hopefully comes over here permanently.

There, that's all sorted out then... I remember reading on BBC 606 some time back that FFD is mates with Leading Fish in Hants, and a "drinking buddy" at an establishment in Milton.

Hi Woopert, you're right in that I've been holding out to the bitter end on the old site. I'm a bit of a technophobe, so a new site does'nt sit as comfortable with me as the old pair of slippers that 606 felt like.Well this old dog is just going to have to learn a few new things I suppose! After all, I somehow think we're going to need all the help we can get against our nearest and least dearest posters next season!
Hi PM, just hoping things don't get too puritanical with some over zealous modding once the gloves are off come August. Had enough of that on 606! Mr Beddytare has torn a strip off StGodders already for stating the bleeding obvious!!! I did have to agree with StHalfwit for a change on this one.
Do you reckon it will be "gloves off" before the season starts then FFD ?! It's gonna be a long long Summer........
It's not easy FFD, let me tell you! We've only closed down one or two threads so far, I'll spare you the gory details. I hope that everyone can keep the quality of discourse as high as possible, negating any need for, regrettable, moderation. To be honest, I'm a little anxious! To be fair to Beddy and Kingsland, their site has been busier and, when you read all the material they have to deal with, it becomes obvious that peoples needs are 100% opposite at times. Which makes it very difficult to pour oil on those troubled waters. Maybe paraffin will get used instead!
Point taken PM. By the way, can I ask how you get you're Smileys? I always tried to use them to maximum effect on 606. Can't seem to find 'em.
