What happened to Defoe and Hutton?

    I seem to remember someone writing on here saying we were close to signing the pair. I haven't heard anything since I've also seen rumours about n'zogbia,sturridge,Gibson and ridiculously heskey. Do you think Bruce is happy with the signings he's made along with the squad we have at the moment or will there be any more new faces?

    I agree it's all well and good bringing in all these signings but were starting to collect alot of deadwood. Brucey should be thinking about moving these on they are all good championship players apart from maybe McCartney who would be ****e in any division.

    Would have Hutton back in an instant. Not bothered about Defoe, never was & wont be next week either.

    Would have Defoe and Hutton but wouldn't want to lose anton or rico, they are invaluable to the squad. Players we need to get off the books are killgallon, nosworthy, mccartney and angeleri.

    I reckon Rico is worth keeping, lacks consitency but on his day can be an asset. Mcartney will never kick a ball in anger for the first team again, trouble is can we find any takers?, maybe we will have to pay him off. Anton is a decent backup option but we payed way over the odds for him.

    I'd get rid of Ferdinand, but not Ricco. He can play anywhere and is occasionally an outstanding player.

    This. West Ham and Brum are reportedly sniffing around Anton and if we can recoup half of the money we paid for him I would take it TBH.

    Get rid of gordon, Ferdinand and mac carthorse!! That should bring in at least 10 mill use that money to get defo and afford his wages!

    Im not sure that bringing in Defoe is the right thing either, seems to me to be another mercenary, form hasn't been good and not sure he would want to go up north. If it meant that Gyan were to go the other way, I definitely wouldn't be for it. Also, not sure we would want to deal with Saggy chops again, I remember the saga the last time we did business with them

    Move on RICHARDSON AND FERDINAND?! Are you daft? The two main utility players in our squad.

    I really, really dont get this lack of rating for ricco, when fit hes one of our most important players?!

    Ferdy I can appreciate makes mistakes but still for me is a quality squad player? You all know what our injuries are like, we need to sell McCartney, Killgallon and (i believe hes still ours) Nosworthy! And STILL but a striker and a midfielder. We shouldnt even be contemplating selling anyone else (including steed and gordon!)
