So I had a look at the odds for the vacant jobs at chelsea and villa. Hiddink is now around 1/8 to get the chelsea, as he has supposedly expressed a desire to leave Turkey. As for villa, both Ancelotti and McClaren are now ahead of Hughes in the running according to the bookies, with Hughes on similar odds to Benitez. I don't want to tempt fate by I'm genuinely quite excited at the prospect of such a gamble from Hughes failing miserably. Ok admittedly has soon as a decent job comes along mid season things may be different, but it just shows how ridiculous hughes may have been for leaving, especially with that smug statement which accompanied his exit.
Phil McNulty (the bloke who writes blogs for the BBC) has tweeted that ancelotti has apparently ruled himself out of the villa, which I imagine would push hughes back up the list again. I can maintain hope that this won't happen, though if its does then this whole thread is a bit pointless!
Hiddink may only be short term as ?DoF with MH as mgr?? with an unlimited budget and Hiddink holding his hand he should do OK
Online deposit a tenner bet £6 on the next fulham manager and threw the rest on Hughes to chelsea Bob's your uncle You don't think I'm a wierdo now haha....
Hughes should have waited another year, has he really raised his profile from being at Fulham? In my opinion he's at the exact same stage he was when he left City, a good midtable manager. He should take advice from Curbs who wanted a bigger club and got unemployed.
