How ironic that only 22 months after Newcastle players sat on the Villa Park turf, totally despondent after being relegated and jeered by the home fans, they are back on the same pitch, knowing they could inflict immeasurable damage to the Villa fight for survival.

Anyone remember this dittyy that accompanied their plight that day?

They all went down to Villa Park
    Twas the 24th of May
Hoping God would smile on them
    Upon the Sabbath day
Proud as punch in stripey shirts
    Cream of the Geordie nation
    Ganning along to Birmingham
    To see the relegation.

Oh me lads, you should've seen them crying
Watching the shambles on the pitch
    Premier dreams a'dying
All the lads and lasses there
    All had gloomy faces
    Ganning doon to the Championship
    With aal of Shearer's aces

Interesting to see what happens on Sunday but I'm sure there will be a few black 'n white fans desperately hoping for the opportunity to remind Villa fans of their response that black day.

I'm really hoping that we get the 3 points and Villa are in the relegation zone at the end of the match.

I was in a pub watching that relegation confirmation game and there were a few truly vitriolic Villa fans there. They rounded on one lad of about 18 who supported Newcastle and tore him to shreds.

To return the favour would be a great pleasure.

I'd like to see us screw Villa over for a 2nd time this season (don't think it will be though) and put them in the relegation zone.
As OT says, the way they turned on us that day was well out of order. I'd expect that kind of crap from bitter rivals such as Sunderland, but we have never had any sort of serious rivalry with them.
Love to see them suffer now, and dare I say it a few Mackems hoping to see us get a result just to screw Bent up???

    1. if it were the other way round and Villa had ultimately sent us down, I would want to stuff them at the weekend.

    2. Now that Bent is at Villa and after his sour exit from SAFC, I want to see villa relegated, therefor whoever plays them to gain points from them

    3. As its our local rivals playing them at the weekend, do I want a newcastle win to push them further into the relegation battle, thus moving further up the table from sunderland?

    hmm...Draw for me!

As much as I hated the way that "Bent" deal was done with Villa, I still hope they stuff the mags this weekend..

Actually, I'd like him to score a hatrick, he did well for us last season and the first 12 games or so this season. A mercenary, who helped us progress, go Darren!

PS: he goes back to being a stinking fetid turd again after Sunday.

I dont have anything much in favour of MYRTLE OR BART, but on this one if it had been a post from either, maybe 5 stars.

I will be hoping for a draw on this one.

Never understood why Villa were so gleeful on that day. Their reaction over the Bent transfer says to me " Chip's on shoulder's".
