I have watched all the QPR games this season via a stream or attending the game in person. Regardless of the result i have tuned into MOTD to see what Gary and Co say about us, and to hear Warnock's response. In all of his post match interviews he has complained about the match officials and praised the "lads" for playing so well, "I can't ask for more". His mumblings amount to nothing more than excuses and amateurish man management / motivational drivel. Does he really believe it himself? For some reason Warnock will not select players in their natural positions. Shouldn't our midfield be Tarabat on the left, Barton and Faulin in the middle with SWP on the right, Mackie playing behind the striker looking best in training. I realise we are work in progress but at least put our strongest team out with tactics that make sense. Its like watching Eriksson not having a clue when managing England (should have beaten Brazil). We were chasing the game yesterday and he took off our best player of the game Tarabat. And why push through a loan deal only to give him 15 minutes?? For me Warnock is going to struggle getting permanent top players in due to our position in the league, leaving us with out of favour loanees who won't be 100% committed to the badge. In contrast to Warnock, Steve Keane appears on MOTD calm and collected, he explains his tactical decisions and remains optimistic, standing resolutely against the pressure of his teams so called supporters. I do not recall him once complain about match officials. He has his team showing more encouraging signs than ours, even Yakubu (chunky) looking dangerous. I am not saying Warnock out Keane in, but i believe in order for us to move forward we need a coach that has tactical intelligence. We need a Venables.
in warnock's defence, he has always enjoyed a good rant and generally blamed everyone else, so we can't be surprised that he's doing it now. we didn't see it so much last season because the majority of was spent at the top of the league. whether he has the tactical ability for the top flight, i remain to be convinced.
At least he's not as bad as Wenger, did you see his comments after fulham match, the worse part is they were wrong
Im beginning to think that what is said behind closed doors is very different to what we're hearing after the match. Back the players publicly so we dont gain attention but make it clear to them in the dressing room what's really happening.
