I'm in general agreement with you. Still got it all to do to prove his worth to us. It's early days, and it hasn't helped him to be tagged as Snoddy's replacement. He does seem to put himself about a bit & does make some good runs, but he ain't no Snoddy!

If he's quite good aerially, then he should get a job doing sky installations, as he doesn't seem too good at football from what I've seen so far. Hopefully he'll hit some form/find some ability (delete as appropriate). At the moment he works hard but seems to add little in the way of attacking threat.

To be honest, he is played out of position !! if colin had the funds he would be fighting for a place up front......

I'd prefer white played there instead of him. I cannot see anything in him whatsoever. As strach has said though he is being played out of position, although he has missed a lot of sitters so not sure how he'd go upfront

The thing about playing White up there is that he can't cross & he can't finish. He's fast, but that's about it in that position.

I thought Varney looked quite decent pre season and shewsbury. Linked up with McCormack nicely especially against Shews. However going into the league games he's lost it maybe because was played further forward in pre season/shews. I'd rather have White because at least he can sprint the ball into a position where he can pass it to someone who can do something with the ball (shoot/cross ect). Varney was very poor against Rovers hopefully he'll improve.

Yea, but imo white can't tackle and his defensive positional sense is ****. If he is to stay at leeds I can only see it as being a winger and thats where he needs to develop. Lets face it, Gradel wasn't the best player technically and made a lot of terrible decisions but was still a success, I can't see why white cannot develop into that replacement for Gradel which we so desperately needed

Have to admit, Varney is the one signing I'm still not convinced about...hopefully he'll improve with time and games

Don't disagree, Josh. He can and he should improve, but at the moment, I don't see him as an immediate replacement for Varney. I think he might frustrate us more.

Lets be honest - we've got a manager that's absolutely ruthless when he needs to be. Ifhe thinks a change is required, it will happen, and in double-quick time!

Afterthough ..... is Byram the answer?

Looks more of a threat on the right or in the hole. He time and goals will come.

Could well be the answer, looks good on the right. I still don't see Diouf as a midfielder though and think either way we need a LM
