    My answer is nothing.

I have read posts raving about Colback, how great he is and how he is better than Catts. Now I think you must be looking through ginger tinted glasses because this kid is not good enough for our first 11.

Why is this you may say?

Well I cannot deny he has energy, but his passing is not up to scratch. He doesn't tackle and lets the game fly him by. I cannot remember him having a decent game.
He can't pass forward, only side to side.

Now on the bench, we had a Welsh international, voted Blackpools player of the season, and Gardner who we paid 5 million for.
These two should be ahead of him by miles.

This is another classic example of Bruce being to stubborn and loyal to players.

I think we may have more cms than we need, none of them are that special tbh (although there is potential) and I think we will struggle to keep them all happy.

Catts and Meyler, tough tackling, break up the play well, don't really offer too much attacking wise and Catts is very slow which can get him into problems, can't comment too much on Meyler haven't seen enough of him.

Colback and Vaughan are both neat and tidy players but however accurate their short range passing is, neither has really unlocked any defence yet or found the back of the net. Gardner obviously poses a goal threat, but goes missing to often.

stats show him to be our best player so far this season. I agree with these stats and i've seen every min played this season home and away, inclueding Brighton.

Colback offers eveything that Catts offers, only he can pass the ball better and is not liable to get sent off every game.

Don't think it's soley down to Colback...

But a Catts/Colback combo is doomed in any game...

Both can have decent games...just not together.

Colback is a good player and will, IMO be a very good player. He is in a team under pressure, short on confidence so aint likly to be world class, but, his passing is good, he pressures players and tackles, he gets forward and was very unlucky not to score on Saturday.

You blame Bruce for playing a good player, no. Blame him for playing the wrong combination then I would agree.
