How can anyone be defending the man? I've seen a number of posters saying it's just one bad game (Saturday) because last night didn't really matter. But it's much more than just a couple of bad results - we're quite used to them. The terrible thing is EVERYONE knew we were going to get beaten last night. Everyone, that is, except Bruce.

I think nearly all of us think we could pick a decent team from our squad. What we can't do is motivate that team to somehow produce a performance bigger than the sum of the parts. That's why managers are paid so much - I don't think that sort of skill can be found too easily. Does Bruce have it? I don't think so. His supposed man management skills are based on the fact that certain players like to play for him. Well, I like to work for my boss because he is weak and doesn't give me a hard time - he's a nice bloke though. I know I would work harder for some of the scarier bosses around the place.

So, what does he actually bring us? ****ed if I know.

Good transfer dealings but question marks over his tactical ability, Id give him 6.5/10 for his time with us.

    This is me.

Until Saturday i was firmly BiB, after the derby I was a fence-sitter (ouch) and after last night, especially complaining about a lack of goals when not playing a striker, I feel the fence giving way.

He's used up probably 90% of my good feeling towards him..

..Although at least we're not a yo-yo club anymore, and we did get top 10.. And we have gone up 3 positions a season for the past few years... That's progress, right? Or is it progress in spite of Bruce, not because of Bruce?

I've always been very glass-half-full, rose-tinted, whatever you want to call it. Even last season I thought, must be due to the injuries. Patience wearing thin now. Why not buy a LM or LB in two full years? Why buy players and then not play them? Why complain about goals when picking a strikerless team?

My main resistance to a change of manager, however, is that he's now got a full and large squad of players picked by someone else. It would mean another few windows of wasting money, taking losses and all change please, all change. We do need some consistency now..

The long and short of it is that I think he should stay, but he's a very naughty boy and he's on his last warning.
