I for one was excited by some of the players we were bringing in during the summer. I watched as Hoilett was about to sign for a German club, than was in talks with us. One of the best young players in the premiership the media said. Another Park, a solid midfielder who was a Man Utd player, I had watched him in great form and scoring against Arsenal in the champions league a few seasons back. Green a goalkeeper who West Ham didn't want to lose. Diakite a player I liked the look of last season. Nelson a bit old but a decent back up defender. But I wasn't happy with us not purchasing a solid defender or a couple of decent striker. Didn't think Johnson or Boswinga where good additions. So defence and attack have proved to be the main problem, and the players I was excited by just haven't lived up to the hype, with the exception of Nelson who is one of our best player. But 16 games and 7 points proves, that although we have spent a lot on wages, we have one of the poorest squads in the premier league, and that is a fact.
Yep,we have a few half decent players but a lot of them just dont have the skill set or ball control to make a diffeence.Even our 'tryers' look out of there depth. Out first two seasons in the premieship and both times we are at the bottom,in a relegation scrap. I think we would struggle in the championship let alone the premiership. If I wasnt a QPR supporter,Id think we are ****!.Nearly all the teams we have played so far look more skillfull, quicker, etc. Oh god,Ive just had the notion that Cardiff are nearly out of sight and might swap positions with us...arrggh
