Well, I will never forgive the club for the way they treated Hughton, but I must admit I'm quite impressed with Pardew. He's refreshingly open and honest in interviews and doesn't come across as a lickspittle to Fat Boy.

    Still wouldn't trust him though.

i hate all this, i will never forgive the club for how they sacked chris hughton crap, and i think that so far pardew has done a brilliant job bu we need to wait till the end of the summer window to see what sort of players he can bring in, but so far he our best proper manager since glenn roeder.

Pardew seems to be doing a good job. He says the right things in interviews, he has kept Hughton's team spirit and he comes across as an honest guy. He has got us some decent results and we are shaping up to a decent league position (for a newly promoted side). When Pardew first came in I was one of the first to question his abilities and the clubs decision. I am delighted to say that he has proved me wrong so far. I hope Ashley gives him time and sticks with him so we can push on from this season. The real test for Pardew is next season, his first full season will give us a better idea about him. The summer transfer window is his chance to bring in his own players and that is another test for him. So far he has about 50% won me over but there is a long way to go yet. Good luck Alan and lets win a trophy <cheers>

Hughton was overated. Genuinely top guy, but not a brilliant manager as a lot of our fans would make you think. He's been out of a job since October despite various Premiership and Championship jobs becoming available in that time.

  11. If he keeps us up, i'll start singing "Theres only one Alan Pardew", but until then, i'll just let him get on with his job

Better than Chris, that's for sure. Real judgement will come this summer, who he buys and who he shifts out.

I like the bloke. Been a decent manager so far, kept the great attitude in the team that Hoots left behind, seems like a genuine guy. I really started to like him more after the Carroll saga, in his interviews he did explaining. He look exhausted and I think he just came across as a genuine guy. But maybe that's just me. And if all this talk about all the Carroll money being available to spend in the summer is true, then maybe he's working his magic on MA too? Who knows.

But as said, the final verdict will be delivered in the summer when we see what players are brought in/leave

This, however I think it's experience that will be his stumbling for clubs...
